Processus of demau.d , buying and
Distribution of the food in Kematen Camp .
At the beginning of each month, we ask for food for the whole Camp, coJ responding with 2.000 calories for normal rations and 3.000 calories for workers .
We give our request to the Adjutant Klein-of the French .Army s Food Office to be examined , who gives order to the Austrian authorities to deliver us the corresponding ration cards .
On these ratio1 cards, however, the food cannot always be completely delivered or it arrives 2 or 3 weeks later .
After having received the food , we stock it in the Teams store room .
Each Saturday , we -cake the. neces ;:,ary food out of the store to the kitchen to have the •mec ls of the Displaced Perso~s prepared for thP following week.
Everv morning, the Messing- vfficer gives the food for one day to the chief cook . The food, after preparation, is - distributed to ea ch D • .t- .
~nclosed you will find a list of ration cards received for this period and of those not yet received.

S bject: epatriation.
Sir,
5/1/1946
In nswer to your letter by bout the prece ent informations,
hich you ask e some ~recisions e can di ide the roblem into
parts: 1. epatriation of the
ha a Liaison of icer, a the Polish Red Cross .
oles /actually in Hai ing C~?I • They irst Lieutenant, and ere yisi ted by
• hese persons 1 re not formal y recognised by the French ilitary overnment - they oelonged o the olish Gover ent
of Lon on - and Paris has only recognised the government of arsa.
b . I think ·that these persons sed to come and visi~ my camp about once or t ice a onth.
c . The olish ed ros as ·uthorised to come into $Y c p -but I j st stood it, beca se I coul ot do other is .
a. Some su lies have been istri ute in y c p, like ap les a few ol clothes, some pa·rs of shoes - a out fifty little electric stoves - all th e supplies have been given to u • • R • •• and distributed by my te , ith assistance of the olish priest and one of the representatives of the cap.
I should add that all these ~eople as ell Yougoslav iaison officers as olish ed Cross, etc . have al ays been to ee U ~ Headquarters before coming into y camp.
I do not accept anybody to enter or visit my c p ithout a ass - or a le tter from U Hq. or the r nch i i tary uthorities q.nd, ore precisely, signed by Ca tain Jehl or
Lieutenant Fraval . Repatriation of the Yougoslavs ,
1. Very fe Yougoslavs have been repatriated in my camp - ~n eter artisans have a repr sentative military ission in Innsbruc
/Hotel Grei , aria-Teresien-Strasse, ehind rch o riumph/ . his ilitary ission has General P VOLITC as chief, and he l tter
is assisted, as far as I know, by a colonel and a captain.

I know they paid a visit to U q. ho in or ed me of th ir rrival to visit the camp of eaten. The princi al subject • oft ir
visit as the question of the You oslavstudents • • I o not think they are for ally recognised by the Frenc
~litary Authorities - but I kno they have been received by General B THU T. -
b. hey have been three tim sin my camp in December - but I h ve al as been informed before - and received these offic rs personally.
c . All these visits hav been autho1i ed b e, because it as r ther to fix up the questions concerning the students
than or the camp i self. d . o supplies have be n distributed.
2 . During the past, ·hen some shave in icated a ish to be repatriated, I sed to count the ad infor C&ptain Jehl - in ch rge of the isplaced er~ons, nder s ervision of Colonel Thib ud . - ·hen this office had collected a number of ishes s fficient to have a train con.posed /about a t~ousand eo~le/, I a informed of the oate and hour of he departure . hen began the proper or· of the eam / elfare s rvice, s it ry ervice, easing etc/. I used to get yself in touc ith be c ief of the
convoy and gave bim all neces ary in o mations, P2 cards, so i trod cing hi to the Pre resentat·ves c osen by us Ior the journ y .
Hopin hese infor ations ill satisfy you, I remain, Sir,
Yours aith ully,
