Nkwe Platinum has decided not to resume trading shares on the Australian Stock Exchange(ASX:NKP) after it earlier announced that the company will probably resume trading lastweek.
In an announcement th company’s Executive Director, Peter Landau says “Further tothe announcement dated 13 January 2011, South African focussed Platinum company NkwePlatinum Limited (ASX: NKP) (“Nkwe” or the Company”) would like to update the marketregarding the suspension of its securities on the ASX, and other matters related to its SouthAfrican platinum assets. While it was the intention of the company to request a re listing ofits securities on the ASX, the Board has decided, based on the continued perceiveduncertainty regarding its assets in South Africa, to remain suspended for a further period. The Board believes this to be a prudent course of action to ensure shareholder value ismaintained and shareholders are able to trade its securities in a fully informed manner withthe status of its current asset base positively clarified.
As previously advised, joint applications have been made to the South African DMR bythe Roka Phasha and Bengenyama communities for rights to the farms Eerste Geluk 327KTand Nooitverwacht 324KT. Genorah is the economic partner for both applications, withNKWE having a back toback agreement with Genorah to ensure its 64% rights to thesefarms will be maintained.
It is the intention of NKWE to remain suspended until a determination is made in thecoming weeks based on statutory requirements with regards to the section 104 applicationsto these farms. The Company is also aware of a number of parties, including an Australianbased journalist working for a national publication (who is a close relative of the SouthAfrican lawyer who represents the opposing applicants), who have made a number of falseand inaccurate claims to NKWE shareholders and other interested parties (via email) inrecent days, which the Company has not had the opportunity (nor has been asked) torespond to. The Company will address all relevant issues by way of ASX release prior to therecommencement of trading.
The Company is currently reviewing all correspondence and public statements andreserves its rights with regards to all future action/s. As with previous announcements, Nkweconfirms its stated position with regards to its ability to retain and develop its interests inboth the Garatau and Tubatse projects.” The whole issue around Nkwe’s South Africanassets near Burgerfort came to the fore at the end of last year when Genorah Resourceslost a Constitutional court case over prospecting rights against a local community, haltingNkwe’s developing plans until a reolution has been found.
Waarom ‘n geregistreerde persoon gebruik?

10 NEWS 28 JANUARY 2011
What do you think of theTraffic flow and traffic control in Burgersfortseem to be two of the major headaches toboth authorities and drivers alike.Frustrated drivers feel that traffic officials arenot helping out where needed. When there iselectricity supply interruptions and the trafficlights are not working there is seldom apointsman on duty to help with the flow ofvehicles.Repairs of potholes and construction workare other things that are causing frustration. On Saturday last week, the section betweenTwin City Complex and the soon-to-befourway stop/robot at Toyota was closed.Repairs was done where construction workdamaged the road for the new Kastania roadtowards the new municipal building and itsrobots. Saturday was one of the busiest daysof the month and no traffic officials were insight. One of the construction workers triedto regulate the traffic, but soon gave upagainst the constant flow .Many people thought they’ll take the routethrough the Twin City centre, only to find thatthey cannot exit again. This forced manydrivers to make use of the openings forpedestrian crossings in the wall between thetwo lanes in Dirk Winterbach street. One reader who begged to remainanonynous for fear of victimisation said: “It ispoor service! I struggled for about an hour toget from the robot that turns to the MoroneCentre at OK, to the road at Spar. There wasnot a single traffic official in sight!”.A man who has been living in Burgersfort for35 years and also wished to remainanonymous, “because the traffic cops knowme and will say ‘hy het ons toegesteek’”said: “It is like night. Saturday you could notmove. The taxi drivers are not doing thingsright. They turn towards Boxer up into theone-way while we have to wait for them. Weare paying taxes to be here and the trafficofficials should be where the problems are”.We asked readers what they think of thetraffic control in general and what theysuggest must be done to better it.
Mnr Tshwared Malatjie, ‘n taxibestuurdersê: “Hulle moet ons laat weet as diestraat gaan toe wees. Hullemoet daar wees by die robotte”.
Mnr. Patrick Gericke sê: “Daardie stukpad waaraan hulle Saterdag gewerk hetlyk darem baie beter. Hulle moet netwanneer hulle so werk, ‘n ordentlikedetour maak”.
Mr Joseph Tonga, a taxi driver said:”Tohave the traffic cops regulate the trafficwill sometimes help and sometimes not.At the end of the month the traffic is toomuch and sometimes the robots do notwork. The traffic cops then do not help. They must be here every time”.
Mr Aubrey Mkhabela and rank marshall, Mr Justice Malepe felt the following will helpwith the traffic in town: “Respect the one next to you. Obey the robots and make sure itis green before you go. Check the ‘feet-walkers’. Open your eyes to them because theycan easily be run over”.
Saterdag se ding was onverwags opons”.
Mr Judias Mokoenaand Ms GertrudeMokoena said:“They mustarrange not tomake repairs overweekends. It isbusy and everyoneknows it will causetrouble. The trafficcops must be thereto control thetraffic. They mustalso sort out thetaxis that just parkanywhere. There isno control”.
Mr Amos Mokwena, a taxi driver said:“There is no problem with the traffic. It isworking all right”.

traffic control in town?
Mr Tishetjo Mashego and Mr Ntate Mafane, both taxi drivers, said: “There is no parkingfor taxis and no proper entrance and exit at the rank at Boxer. The rank is too small. Ifthey build another one it will be better. If there is a problem with the traffic, the trafficofficers must control the situation. There was no town planning and still they are doingthings without consulting the community. Another problem is that members of thepolice and municipal officials own some of the intercity taxis and then they order thetraffic officials not to touch them, but we are being regulated.
Mr Jeffrey Seerane, a taxi driver said:“We have only one street. That is whywe have a problem, especially at the endof the month. The traffic cops must bethere at robots regulating and givingeveryone a chance”.
Mr Piet Malo said: “The traffic cops musthelp when there is a lot of traffic”.
Above: Ms Phyllis Mlambo said: “Theymust make two main roads. They mustalso put up better signs when doingrepairs”.
Above right: Mr Sipho Libambo said:“They must open more streets. Thetraffic officers must regulate the trafficand not only charge us for speed traps. The robots fail to accommodate us andthe traffic cops must regulate, especiallyat KFC”.
Links: Mnr. By hom is Dirkie en AlbertBritz.
Left: Mr IgnatiusMokonyana said:“It will be proper tocommunicate tothe people what ishappening. Thatwas stupid onSaturday. Thetraffic cops mustbe there to regulatethe flow of traffic”.
Regs: Me. Byhaar is Sefastian.
Mnr. David Basjan sê: “Dis swak as hulledie strate toemaak.
