POSTER IDEAS

POSTER IDEASThis particular album cover was a source of inspiration and is a potential possibility for our film poster. The shadow created within the doorway over a helpless victim is a conventional feature within the horror genre and is an aspect found within horror films of a variety of eras. This album cover could easily be recreated into a film poster from using our own images using shadows and editing them further in photoshop. The colour scheme used (i.e. black and red) also connotes ideas such as anger, death, passion, fear etc.

STORY IDEAS

Story Idea 1A young boy was abused from the age of two until he was eight. As a result, he was taken out of his home and into the state’s custody. During that time he was moved from foster home to foster home. When it seemed he had finally settled in the right home, things started to change. Nostalgic on his childhood, bad memories begin to corrupt his mind, leading him to become violent and somewhat insane. This violence causes his escape from home, leaving him to become a serial killer in his own right. Hidden by a mask, he begins to murder anyone that gets in his way, with him stopping at no resolution to find vengeance on those responsible for his past.

Story Idea 2The Unexpected tells the story of paranormal events occurring under one household. When a family move into a new house, the self-established ‘geeky’ son decides to film a video blog documenting his new home. Filmed in a handheld camera style, The Unexpected captures every piece of footage in this disturbing, chilling film expressing all of the paranormal on goings in this house.

Story idea 3When an aspiring horror novelist inherits the family cemetery he uses the opportunity to draw inspiration to write his first novel. After he and his family become the new caretakers he finds that he has drawn more than just inspiration from his inheritance, he's inherited the family legacy: madness.

Story Idea 4Two sisters move in with mothers boyfriend after mothers apparent suicide. Strange happenings occur in the house, sisters begin to learn more about the boyfriend. Turns out the paranormal activity is the spirit of their mother trying to drive the sisters out of the house, away from the boyfriend as he is the psychotic abusive man who actually killed the mother.
