E The target audience for the television ident I am designing will be aimed at both genders, females and males who are aged from 18-30, interested in urban television. As this channel is more urban and modern, the television ident will be mainly aimed towards African and Caribbean individuals, in addition to individuals who do not fit the above two categories but still enjoy music, are entitled also.

The socio class of the chosen audience would be C1 (shop manager, personal assistant) / C2 (Plumber, machine operator) – I have chosen this specific socio class why have I chosen this specific target audience?

How will my ident reach out to the socio class? The design elements of my television ident, which will include the use of incorporating different genres of music videos and insinuating them all together, the font style also will reach out to the above socio class. This ident will be just right for the socio class I have previously above, because I am not aiming my product towards highly wealthy individuals.

My television ident consists of filmed footage from various music videos, which are urban – this is done to relate to the specific target audience, my target audience being females and males aged from 18-30. As the designer I have brainstormed many different idents, however, I have decided my final television ident for your channel GRIT 11 will include the following; various screen shots of music videos, moving typography, background music, vibrant and colours. The television ident I will be producing, will be done on a digital medium, everything will be done digitally. To create this television ident I will be creating this ident on two software's; final cut pro (to edit the moving frames) and after effects. Does it relate to GRIT 11

The reason why I have chosen and decided to create and design this ident is because I believe it will attract the target audience, in addition to attracting more viewers. This ident will be relevant for your channel because, GRIT 11 consists of; music, animations, sit-coms and comedy shows. I am going to produce a television ident, I as the designer has chosen the ident to be entertaining, as well as informative by the typography which will be included within my moving ident.

The message the ident I will be designing will be ‘music is everything’ I am using your specific genre for your channel ‘music’ to target the chosen target audience, in addition to reeling in more viewers by my creative design of an ident. Personality – How is the brands personality being represented within the ident. – fun, exciting, urban, random, new school – in addition, I could also design a ident which comes on special occasions that also inform the audience on the sit-coms.

The screenshots of the chosen music videos I will incorporate within my ident to attract the chosen target audience, I believe the the screenshots below will attract the audience because each shot will have relevance to each individual within my given target audience. With the screenshots below will also have relevance to the background music.

The reason as to why I have chose this specific font style is because I believe the font which is named ‘electrical’ stands out towards the target audience, I think this specific font style I have chosen to incorporate within the ident goes well with the name and the meaning of the word ‘GRIT’ the meaning being ‘sand or other fine grainy particles eaten by fowl to aid in digestion.’

I think the font style I have chosen for your television ident, personally, I believe the font will stand out towards the target audience and also be memorable. “Electrical” is the name of the font, the size of the font will be 40, this is a good size for the audience to be attracted to the spectacular television ident.

The production requirements, which will be needed within the designing and producing this televisionident are the following; Final Cut Pro X and After Effects/Flash. The three software’s listed above contain the work and effects which are going to be used throughout the designing and producing of your product. Final Cut Pro will allow me to edit the chosen music videos I will incorporate within GRIT 11’s ident, FCP will also allow me to add effects to the filmed footage to enhance the GRIT 11’s personality. After Effects and Flash will both allow me to develop my animations that will appear on screen towards the end of the television ident. During the making of the ident I will not need to use cameras to film, this also includes the camera equipment such as; tripod, dolly etc. There will be no need to film any footage for your ident, everything for the ident will be done digitally.

The unique selling point within the ident I have previously proposed to you, I have displayed the design elements and arrangements, which are going to take place. However, the unique selling point of this ident is font style used, most company’s use simple and blunt fonts to attract their audience, fair enough it is memorable, but is it attractive in the receivers eye? however, the ident I have shown you displays the simple design the font style contains, the uniqueness of this font style are the cracks within the text, which is memorable. In addition, the unique selling point of GRIT 11’s ident is the circle in which the number “11” overlays in. Also, the effects I will be using within the ident will be a huge selling point as it engages the audience to continue to watch and personally, the whole concept of the idents idea shows the uniqueness, during the duration of most television idents. Why will my ident be the right ident to distribute?
