PDEA 6 Joins L.A.K.A.D. TOKHANG

Iloilo City – With the theme “Lipulin at Kalampagin Ang Droga!” (LAKAD) PDEA 6 Joins

L.A.K.A.D. TOKHANG in ardent support of the Tokhang Relaunched last February 24, 2018

at 2:30 PM where different agencies and stakeholders assembled at the Iloilo Provincial

Capitol as part of the simultaneous walk in major cities across the country.

Deputy Regional Director Thessa B. Albano of PDEA 6 gave her message in support

of the relaunched program.

Coordination on Documentation in Barangay Drug Clearing Program

Conducted in Oton, Iloilo

Oton, Iloilo February 7, 2018 – In line with the Barangay Drug Clearing Program of the Municipality of Oton, an orientation on the process of documentation for Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries and Kagawad Chair on Peace and Order in Oton was launched last February 7, 2018 held at the Katagman Conference Hall, Office of the Mayor.

Cibeleo P. Nobleza Jr. (HRMO), Richard H. Gabayeron (Admin Aide) and Michelle S. Armada (Admin Asst) PDEA 6, conducted the Orientation to the Barangay Officials.

RD PDEA VI attend Drug Free World International Training on Truth about Drugs

Iloilo City - PDEA VI discuss Current Drug Situation, Barangay Drug Clearing Efforts

and the strengthened Partnership between PDEA and PNP during the Drug Free World

International Trainer's Training on Truth about Drugs today, February 26, 2018 at the

Diamond Jubillee Hall, Iloilo City.

Acting Regional Director Wardley M. Getalla of PDEA VI gave his message together

with the LGU, PNP and other government agencies during the said event.

Regular Board and District Presidents Meet for RE: PNP Oplan Tokhang

The Liga ng mga Barangay Office of Iloilo City llconducted its Regular Board and

District Presidents Meeting last February 5, 2018, 9:00AM held at the 6th floor Session Room, Iloilo City Hall to discuss the PNP Oplan Tokhang.

PDEA assists in the BDCP Re-validation with the MADAC of the Municipality of

Alimodian

As part of the Municipality of Alimodian’s Barangay Drug Clearing Program, Cibeleo

P. Nobleza, Jr. and Michelle S. Armada of PDEA 6 attended meeting with Mayor Geefre

Alonsabe of Alimodian last February 9, 2018 at 9:00AM at the Mayor’s Office, Alimodian Iloilo.

Regional Oversight Committee Conducts Validation, Record Check of Drug

Unaffected Barangays

As part of the DDB regulation of “Strengthening the Implementation of Barangay Drug

Clearing Program and the synchronization of government efforts through the Inter-Agency

Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs, PDEA 6 together with its counterpart agencies conducted

validation and record check of barangays last January 30, 2018 held at the Madia-as Hall,

Camp Martin Delgado Iloilo City.

Eight (8) barangays from the Municipality of San Rafael Iloilo, forty-eight (48)

barangays of the Municipality of Tubungan Iloilo, fifteen (15) barangays from the Municipality

of Pulupandan Negros Occidental, forty-five barangays of the Municipality of San Remigio,

Antique, submitted their documentary requirements for the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

PDEA Orients Malinao, Aklan on Drug Clearing Program

Aklan, February 15, 2018 – Stephen Roy P. Macariza, Liza Marie V. Saludes and

Jhumelyn D. Abeto of PDEA RO VI launched an Orientation on Barangay Drug Clearing

Program at the Libacao and Malinao Municipal Halls which was attended by the Local

Government units, BADAC and MADAC members and the PNP. Libacao has 23 unaffected

barangays and 1 affected barangay while Malinao has 10 unaffected Barangays.

RD PDEA attends 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion Change of Command

Acting Regional Director Wardley M. Getalla attended the Change of Command

Ceremony today of the 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion, held at Camp Martin T. Delgado Fort San Pedro drive Iloilo City last January 12, 2018 at 10:00AM.

Arthur M. Romanillos, Jr., Lieutenant Colonel and Battalion Commander relinquished his command of 3MIB to LTC Carlo Franco A. Pimentel MI (GSC) PA.

Preparation for Oversight Committee Validation and Support Continues in Line

with Barangay Drug Clearing

In line with the Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation of strengthening the

implementation of Barangay Drug Clearing Program and Executive Order No. 15 creating the

Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD), preparation for oversight committee

validation and support is ongoing in the different municipalities and provinces of Region 6.

The Regional Oversight Committee together with the coordinators of the

Municipalities are working on submitting all of their pertinent documents regarding

their applications for the Final Validation and Record Check of their barangays in

accordance with the Parameters set forth under the DDB Resolution.

PSWD Consults with PDEA 6 on Role of Local Social Welfare and Development

Workers in After-Care and Rehab

As a member of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD), and Anti-

Illegal Drug Task Force, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office initiated to

capacitate their Officers in the Implementation of the After Care Service in the community and

converge the programs, activities and services for those seeking rehab.

Ms. Ma. Christine B. Roa of the PSWDO, in line with the above, met with Dir. Wardley

M. Getalla of PDEA 6 last February 1, 2018 to discuss an upcoming Stakeholders Meeting on

March 7, 2018 to cascade upon the social welfare workers their role in the After Care Program.

PDEA presents Accomplishment Report and Role of LGU in Liga in Aklan

PDEA 6 presents Update on Anti-Drug Campaign, Accomplishments and the Roles

of the LGU in the War on Drugs, during Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Liga ng mga

Barangay Congress at the Convention Center, La Carmela de Boracay Hotel, Brgy, Balabag

Malay, Aklan Province.

Deputy Regional Director Thessa B. Albano of PDEA graced the event which was

attended by around 300 delegates from the Province of Zamboanga del Sur and officials

from Caticlan and Balabag, Malay Aklan.

New Philippine Coast Guard Iloilo Chief pays Courtesy Call to RD PDEA VI

Iloilo City – The Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) new Iloilo commander, Lieutenant

Rodolfo Dela Peña visited PDEA RO VI Office last February 27, 2018 to give his courtesy

call to Acting Regional Director Wardley M. Getalla. The meeting involved strengthening of

security in seaports and to ensure a clear and effective coordination with PDEA with regards

to interceptions of drug couriers.

Dela Peña was previously the head of coastguard’s station at the jetty port in

Caticlan, Malay, Aklan and recently swapped posts with Lieutenant Commander Ramil

Palabrica.

Barangay Drug Clearing Program to all MGOOs of Capiz Province at the Conference Room

PDEA Conducts Symposium at West Visayas State University with theme, “High

on Life, not on Drugs”

Joseph Anthony D. Yee of PDEA VI conducted Drug Symposia with theme "HIGH ON

LIFE NOT ON DRUGS" at the College of Communication Lobby, College of Communication

Department, West Visayas State University, Lapaz,Iloilo City last February 23,2018.

The symposium included active participation and forum from Mass Communication

students taking courses in Broadcasting, Journalism and Development Communication.

F. Gurrea Construction Inc. promotes Drug-Free Work Place Program

Iloilo City – F. Gurrea Construction Inc., in line with their Drug Free Workplace

Program invited PDEA VI to conduct Drug Awareness Seminar among their employees

occupying their Stronghold Compound Office, San Rafael Mandurriao Iloilo City last

February 23, 2018.

Stephen Roy Macariza of PDEA VI delivered symposium during the one-day affair in

support of the management’s campaign on Work Safety and Drug-Free work place.
