We prepared “specializations” (within Business School’s classes taught in English) in order to avoid timetable clashes

Minimum workload per semester:

ISP expects exchange students to register for courses totaling in a minimumof 24 ECTS credits

Maximum workload per semester:

• ISP recommends the standard European semester workload of 30 ECTS credits

• We will accept an additional workload of 20% (= 36 ECTS)

• Credits of pre-semester course German A1 can be added to the maximumworkload

• Step 1: Meet with Jochen for approval of subjects & signature

• Step 2: Pick-up signed and sealed LA at ISP office two days later(ISP arranges for countersignature of Pforzheim University‘s International Programs Office)

• Step 3: Send the LA via e-mail to your home university for approval & signature

• Step 4: After approval by your home university: (possible after Friday, Obtober 11, 2019)

• Bring hardcopy of the LA to the ISP-Office (W2.3.19) or

• Send softcopy to [email protected]

Please mind:

• Exams for “German as a Foreign Language“ will take place in the last lecture of therespective German class

• By taking over a presentation in a course you will have to hand it in otherwise you will fail theclass

• Check the link for exam schedule (will be send by ISP-Office)

• Provide for every exam: Your student ID, a hardcopy of your exam registration

Further hints:

• Be in time in your exam room – 15 minutes before the start

• In case we need more than one room for an exam, you’ll find yourself allocated in the exam schedule alphabetically

• Don’t use red ink writing utensils or pencils

• We arrange for exam paper; private paper cannot be used

• Respect the intellectual property of your neighbors

In case you are sick:

• See a doctor and get a sick note

• Forward the sick note to [email protected] (we will inform the examination office)

ISPLearning Strategy

Recommendations:

• Your learning performance in most courses is measured by the final exam during examination period (many exams within two final weeks)

• Therefore, it’s important to be prepared for passing these exams

• Starting last minute before the exams in January/February might be risky….

ISPResit

What we do not hope, however it may happen …that some students fail an exam.

• Resits are only offered at the regular examination dates of the NEXT semester (normally within the examination period)

• No additional online resits or resit dates available outside of the official examination period

• Students taking resits have to be nominated by their home institutions and have to be enrolled at Pforzheim University for the resit semester

• Students resitting exams at Pforzheim University are asked to participate in the corresponding lecture or stay in close contact with the professor or fellow students

• If students cannot resit for an exam at Pforzheim University, we recommend to cover the missing subject(s) at the home University
