3.� Bihar Prohibition and Excise Rules 2021

@ Why in news- Bihar cabinet on September 22, 2021 approved the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Rules 2021.

@ Main provisions of the new rules:ü According to the new provision, if

liquor is found in a residential premises, instead of sealing the entire premises, now only the marked part will be sealed.

ü If liquor is manufactured, bottled, stored, sold or imported-exported in any premises, the entire such premises shall be sealed.

ü The act iv i ty of Grain Based Distillery producing Grain Ethanol will be carried out under CCTV camera surveillance round the clock.

ü Vehicles laden with liquor or other intoxicants going through the state to another state will have to leave the state within 24 hours of entering Bihar through the designated check post.

ü The provisions of section 436 shall have effect for grant of bail for the r s t o f f e n s e i f c a u g h t i n contravention of this law.

@ Complete Prohibition in Bihar - Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act 2016 is in force from October 2, 2016 to implement complete prohibition in Bihar.
