Liability

• August 4th informed AB 1384 was to provide liability insurance if districts were sued for any COVID related issue. This bill did not pass.

• October 7th plan moving forward is to have Hold Harmless agreement which must be signed before students are on campus

AM or PM (Blended Learning)- ElementaryElementary (TK-6)- teachers would prioritize math, reading and writing for in person instruction. Remainder of day would be asynchronous independent practice at home, social studies, science, music and art.

Junior/Senior High (7th-12th)- students enroll in six classes*

and attend 3 periods per day.

AM Cohort: 8:10-11:00

Cleaning of classrooms and other areas: 11:00-12:25

PM Cohort: 12:25-3:15

7th period asynchronous classes will remain asynchronous

What would Friday look like?In order to meet the daily live interaction requirement, Synchronous learning will be required.

• Elementary: 8:30-8:50 Zoom check in with teacher, then asynchronous learning

• Jr./Sr. High: 8:30-8:50 Advisory/Homeroom , then asynchronous learning

Teachers will be engaged in the following:

• Planning and preparing in person lessons for Mon-Thur• Planning and preparing asynchronous lessons for Mon-Fri• Student and family meetings (IEPs, SST meetings)• Communicating with students and families • Collaboration with colleagues • Engaging in professional learning for asynchronous instruction

Cohort Mixing

• Regardless of size, a cohort is a specific group of students• A hub is a small cohort• AM/PM would be two large cohorts

• Cohorts could end up mixed if we go to AM/PM:• By grade level or combo grade level• By elective/enrichment (Culinary, computers, art)• By sport/activity (Basketball, Football, conditioning)• Other afterschool activities (Apollo)• By families after school

Cohort Mixing

• Risks from cohort mixing can be mitigated by: • Sanitizing/cleaning between cohorts

• Frequent hand washing

• Physical distancing

• Use of face coverings
