The Hoigaard Village Development consist- ed of extensive soil
clean-up and remedia- tion before construction could begin. Con-
strution of street utilities and the connection of a substantial
stormwater drainage and pond retention system was coordinated with
the City of St. Louis Park and the Minnehaha Creek Watershed
district. The stormwater pond is designed to filter the runoff of
several adjacent blocks, as well as accommodate future development
in the neighborhood. Walking paths surrounding the site con- nect

Olson Cabin Lake George, MN Envisioned as a vacation home for
recreational use, ` this cabin was constructed so it could be used
year- round or even as a full-time residence. The two-car garage
contains a finished upper level loft guest space, complete with
bath facilities, heat, and storage space. A metal roof was
installed for low-maintenance, durability, and reference to the
north woods rural character. The house was constructed with a
walk-out basement containing future bedroom, bath and recreation
room. The main floor contains a bedroom, full bath, kitchen, dining
and living room spaces. The living room and dining spaces can be
viewed from a second level loft accessed by spiral stair. The

Battle Creek Community Recreation Center The City of Saint Paul
Division of Parks and Recreation commissioned Anderson Dale
Architects to design a new Recreation Center for Battle Creek Park.
The site is adjacent to an existing elementary school, and a large
regional county park that hosts cross-country skiing, bicycling,
and hiking trails. The natural setting of the site helped generate
a building that relates equally well to the park , the school, and
to the ball fields. Spaces within the facility include a full-size
Gymnasium, a Multi-Purpose Room (or smaller Gym), Kitchen,
Concessions, Weight room, Meeting rooms, Arts & Crafts, a day
care Classroom, and Staff Offices. This latest Recreation Center
for the City of Saint Paul will provide much needed services to
this community and allow for future growth of the recreational
needs in this area. Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota Area: 24,000
