Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils THE PROBLEM OF HOUSING PRICE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN SPAIN Slide 2 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils My name is Patricia, Im 26 years old and Im going to talk about the most important problem for young people in Spain: The problem of housing price Slide 3 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils If you look for a new flat in Spain, its average price is about 180.000 euros (at least in Asturias, where I live). Slide 4 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils The average price of a flat is a very high price... But the average salary is not so high. And this is a problem! Slide 5 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils The average salary of Spanish young people is well below 800 euros so if you buy a flat... Slide 6 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils...you have to take about 500 euros away to pay the mortgage, Slide 7 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils...and then you need to take about three hundred euros away to pay the electricity, the phone and the gas bills Slide 8 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils...and you must live all the month without money, so you cant eat... And this is a problem! Slide 9 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils The answer to our problem is our parents patience...... because Spanish people dont leave their parents house until their thirties. Slide 10 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils If we live with our parents for a few years while we work......we can pay our flat and eat at the same time. Slide 11 Patricia Prez, 2C English, EOI Avils What good luck!
