INTRODUCTIONOur Front-End Web Development Program is a part-time, 8 week course based on-site in Berlin. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of front-end web development and learn how to make things happen in web browsers.

You will develop all the skills needed to begin a successful career in front-end web development - one of the most in-demand, exciting career paths in tech. You'll hone your skills in Javascript, HTML, CSS, and learn to create interactive UI widgets and animations using native browser APIs and the jQuery library.

COURSE OVERVIEW (8 WEEKS)You will start the program by using the building blocks of the web: HTML, CSS and Javascript. Alongside this, you will review data types, learn to control flow with conditionals and loops, define variables and functions, create objects and arrays, and delve into handling exceptions. You will examine how global and local scopes work and how identifiers are resolved.

Important topics:

- Array methods - The 'this' keyword - Callbacks - Inheritance patterns - Semantic markup - Including resources (scripts, stylesheets, images, media) - The box model - Positioning - Floating and clearing - Media queries and responsive techniques

You will integrate what you’ve learned of Javascript, HTML, and CSS and create interactive UI widgets and animations using native browser APIs as well as the jQuery library. You will make ajax requests to retrieve data from third party APIs and present it to users.

Important topics:

- DOM traversal - DOM events and event delegation - CSS transitions and animations - requestAnimationFrame - XMLHttpRequest and CORS - HTTP methods, status codes, and headers

Our 8 week course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of code, whatever your level.

There are no requirements to join the course. Once you're signed up, simply bring your laptop along and we're good to go!
