• Life expectancy at Birth, Malaysia, 2010 – 2015

• On average, the new born female is expected to live longer than a new born male. A new born female in 2015 is expected to live to 77.4 years and for new born male to 72.5 years, increased by 0.8 years and 0.6 years respectively as compared to 2010.

• Life expectancy at 65 years

• For male who reach the age of 65 years in 2015, is expected to live for another 14.9 years, increased by 0.6 years as compared to 2010. Female are expected to live for another 16.9 years increased by 0.8 years as compared to 16.1 years in 2010.

KPJ JOURNEY IN AGED CARE SECTOR..

2010 : KPJ acquired Jeta Gardens, Brisbane, Australia. An aged care and retirement resortvillage facility. Consists of 108 aged care beds, 23 independent living villas and 32independent living apartments.

2011 : KPJ acquired Sibu Geriatric Health and Nursing Centre (Love Care Centre) , Sibu,Sarawak. 28 beds.

2014 : KPJ Senior Living Care, Tawakkal Health Centre, Jalan Pahang ,Kuala Lumpur. 42 bedsconsists of single deluxe, single and two-bedded rooms.

2018 : KPJ Damai (Damai Wellness & Centre) and My KPJ Home, Kuantan provide 3 packages(Daycare, Daily & monthly). Consists 19 to 21 beds respectively.
