Paediatric Bioethics Centre and Great Ormond Street Hospital presents... LAW MASTERCLASS PAEDIATRIC BIOETHICS & Students from across the country registered for the day and heard from fantastic speakers including Joe Brierley, Stephanie Nimmo and Anne MacNiven. During the day, there were multiple breakout sessions with talks and workshops involving Staff Support, Innovative Therapies and Commincations. The abstracts presented by the medical students were of a great presentation standard. Oral Presentation Prizes: 1 st - Naheeda Rahman Improving Young Carers’ experiences within the healthcare system by empowering them to understand and assert their rights as Young Carers. 2 nd - Eleni Frisira Does confidentiality in surrogacy override the baby’s health?: A case study 3 rd - Shreya Badhrinarayanan Who knows best - parents or child? - Balancing conflicts and keeping the child’s best interest in mind. On Saturday, 10 November, GOSH held its annual medical student Bioethics and Law Masterclass. The event concluded with a networking evening in the Charles West boardroom.
