  • MontageDescription: an inspirational montage using 5 images.

    Program: Photoshop

    Date: April 1st, 2015

    Course: COMM 130

    Instructor: Brother Kerr

    Objectives:

Process: I use photoshop for this design. I pick a background image and made sure that it was the correct size. I added the butterfly and the flower images and added a mask to each. I wanted the flowers to look like they were growing out of her head. So I used a 30% opacity brush and made all the images lighter so you could still see the hair under them. I added type using colors and fonts that would compliment the color scheme; I used the a different tone of the blue butterflies for the font.

Process: I started by scanning my photo in the library, then I researched designed fliers to get some inspiration. Then I just started playing around with lines in Word. It took a long time to get the lines and boxes just the way I wanted them, and then it took even longer to have them line up perfectly.

Process: I created my logo and some of my images in illustrator. Then I created the layout in InDesign. I place 3 of my images on the inside of the brochure with text in 40% opacity boxes. I put my logo and my California bear flag on the front with the title. On the 2nd page I cut the Hollywood picture and wrapped my text to it. Objectives: To use the basic tools in photoshop and learn to take and use my own photos.

Process: I rented a camera from the library and then took several pictures. After I looked over all my pictures and chose the one I felt like I could create a design out of. I use the drop tool to use colors that were in the picture in my design as-pects of my design. I then just put a quote around the border that I thought would represent the de-sign well.
