INTERPRETATION ON THE PLAN OF DRILLING WELL

CONSTRUCTION & WATER

TREATMENT SYSTEM

Capacity of Water Treatment System (For domestic water) :2.5 to 3 m3/hour

A. DRILLING WELL:

I. PREPARATION:

1. Selection of the location and construction field:

• After considering the outline of construction position, a field visit will be proceeded to

locate the appropriate construction site as demanded.

• When there is a suitable position, working conditions are surveyed such as: roads to

the location of wells, electrical system and water supply system (for construction),

v.v…meeting to the construction schedule.

2. Conveyance of drilling equipment to site and preparation of drilling:

• As the drilling equipment are in the suitable position, setting up and calibrating accurately

drilling rig will be done in order to avoid crooking of borehole during drilling. Then ditches

for circulation of drilling humus are dug and this is also the place for a preliminary

evaluation of well’s stratigraphic structure

II. DRILLING:

• Drilling 2 holes with D.60mm diameter from 19m to 50m.

• Using rotary driller with clay as drilling solution, the drilling hole with D.60mm diameter is

done. While drilling, the geological and stratigraphic characteristics of drilling site should

be observed to assess generally the stratigraphy structure and hydrogeology through the

drilling mud material taken up by the bentonite solution with 1.3 of density.

• Here we shall proceed from 0 m to around 50 m for drilling because some drilling material

will not be all taken out from the borehole after drilling and in which they will be deposited.

• There are 2 wells at each plot (plot 1 and 4). The location of wells will be selected around

the underground water tank. Distance between 2 wells will be around 2-3 meter.

• Pumping water for experiment: When it is clear, water will be pumped up by a sinker

pump for physical and chemical tests of exploiting wells and using for subsequent works.

B. WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM:

I. RUNNING WATER: Capacity around 2.5to 3m3/h

* We propose to apply QCVN 01:2009/MOH quality standard instead of FEED quality

standard.

Proposal :

• Once the wells are completed and can be used, the water will be pumped into water

storage tank and pass through the water treatment system. First, the water will be pumped

through the raw treatment system in order to aerate enabling to improve preliminarily

water.

• Water is pumped into the water tank (14m3

of Plot 1 and 24m3

of Plot 4). In there,

solid sediment is separated down. In sediment tank, the flows and characteristic of water

has stabilizing.

• The water is pumped into Rough processing filter (phase 1) to reduce suspended

solid, flavor, color, toxic element…. Then water is pumped into Pure processing filter

(phase 2). Purification treatment system has duty to go on treating if first step (phase 1) is

not completely treated.

• After 2nd

processing, treated water will continue to lead to 3rd

filter (phase 3). In

phase 3, water will be ionized and contained in composite tank.

• Water from the tank (after phase 3) will be pumped into the RO system (reversed

osmosis membrane) by high pressure pump. RO system will adjust salt and minerals,

remove microbial (bacteria) and continue through ultraviolet lamp (UV) to treat sterilized

again. After RO membrane (size 0.0001 micron), water is fully complied with TCVN 01:

2009/ BYT Health of Ministry. After filtering the water will be pumped into the clean

water tanks in the top of building, then serving for domestic purpose.

• The treatment system will be put on top of sediment tanks, therefore the structure

of those tanks will be re-calculated to ensure it can defend the weight of system for long

time.

II. NOTES:

• With filter tank system, the quality of output water needs to be checked daily of

continuous filtration. The valves on the filter tank are operated for washing the filter to

ensure the quality of output water. Washing of filter and checking on the discharge of

sludge from sedimentation tank can be combined to create favorable conditions for users.
