I would especially like to thank our families and teachers for your dedicaon, calmness and posiveness in keeping schooling for our children as normal as possible. As we connue to make our journey through this me, there will be changes in the way we do things as a whole school. These changes will be posive and will connue to align our core focus on students and their development and educaon growth. At this me, I am reminded of a quote from David Hollis: ‘In the rush to return to normal, use this me to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back to’. Next term, we have renewed focus on building strong literacy and numeracy skills, and wellbeing in students including: Reciprocal Reading approaches for Years 3-6 with an emphasis on building comprehension skills. Reading Eggs online app for our K-2 students to compliment reading strategies taught in class. Mathelecs online app for Years K-6 to compliment the teaching of mathemacs concepts. The introducon of the Smiling Mind program into the weekly curriculum. A reminder the Semester 1 Student Reports will be distributed on Monday 3 August, 2020.
