THE QURAN

CHARACTERISTICS OF QURAN

Its knowledge is definite and doubtless.

Eternal Knowledge

He is the First, the Last, the Most High and the Most near and He is the Knower of all things. Hadeed 57: 3

Comprehensive knowledge

Your God is only Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He. He has full knowledge of all things. Taha 20:98

Flawless Devine Knowledge

If then they answer you not, know then that It( the Quran) is sent down with the Knowledge of Allah… Hood, 11:14

Protected Knowledge

Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, inscribed in the preserved tablet. Buruj 85: 22

Knowledge without contradictions.

Do they not then deliberate upon Quran? If it has been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein many contradictions. Nisa 4:82

Clear and detailed knowledge.

Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He who sent down the Book explained in detail. Anaam 6:114.

Quran is a Criterion to distinguish

Guidance and misguidance. Iman & Kufr. Islam & Jahiliyyah. Acts which bring pleasure or displeasure

of Allah. Truth & falsehood. Halal and Haram. Tauhid and Shirk.

Quran recognizes the previous scriptures and protects their message. Fundamentals of Deen are common. Previous scriptures came for a limited

time to a specific area and were altered. Quran is the final and universal book.

We have sent down to you the Book confirming the scriptures before it and protector over these. Maida, 5:48.

Quran is a light to the right path.

Indeed there has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book. Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace.Maida:5:15.

Quran is a mirror

Indeed we have sent down for you a Book in which there is your reminder. Will you then not understand. Anbia21:10

Conditions which prevent learning from Quran.

1-Arrogance or Kibr. Reasons:

Not ready to leave the high position.

Look down upon the poverty of believers.

Prophet is human being. Hood 11: 27

2-Denial of AkhirahBani Israel 17:45

And when you recite the Quran, we put between you and those who deny the hereafter an invisible veil.

3- Argument ( Mujadilah)Mumin 40: 56

Verily, those who dispute about the ayat of Allah without any authority, there is nothing else in their chests except pride..

4-Finding false interpretation of Ayah not clear.Al Imran 3: 7It is He who has sent down to you the Book

in it are verses that are clear and these are the foundations of the Book, others which are not clear.

Qualities which help to benefit from Quran.

1- Desire and effort to seek guidance.

Verily, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides unto Him those who turn to Him in repentance. Raad 13:27

2-Attentive listening and following the guidance. Zumar39;18

Those who listen to the word and follow the best thereof, those are the ones Allah has guided and those are the men of understanding.

3- Fear of Allah.Qaaf 50:45

Remind by the Quran him who fears my warning.

4-Belief in unseen or ghaib.Baqara 2: 2’3

This is the Book whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are righteous. Who believe in the unseen.

5-Deliberation ( Tadabbur)Mohammad 47:24

Do they not then deliberate upon the Quran or their hearts locked up?

6- Struggle ( Mujahida)Ankaboot 29:69.

As for those who strive hard in our cause, we shall surely guide them to our path. And verily Allah is with those who do good.

7-Great respect and love.Zumar 39:23

Allah has sent down the best statement, a book, its parts resembling each other, oft repeated. The skin of those who fear their Rabb shiver from it ( hearing recitation). Then their skin and their heart soften to the Zikr of Allah.

Practice upon Quranic teachings. Teaching and propagating Quran Struggle to implement Quran.
