Sometimes I have one of these days when nothing goes right, I get angry at everything and everyone, and instead of sitting back and thinking what to do, how to react, I revolt even against myself. It is not easy for us to comprehend our own inability, but much easier to blame our failures on others. If then it is often so difficult for us to have a hold of our own lives, we should not be surprised that’s the case in relation to the mysteries of God. The truth about the Holy Trinity is one of the most difficult dogmas of faith. To comprehend it, it is not enough to just read the Bible and the teaching of the Church that refers to it. Here you need something more: the humility of faith, which in a transcendent (extrasensory) way allows you to touch the realities of God's life as a unity of the Three Persons. God is not someone far away. God is close to us and wants to transcend all our being. Out of love He called man to life, out of love gave His Son into the world to redeem man through the sacrifice of the Cross, and finally out of love He sent the Holy Spirit, that He would lead us to holiness. Revealing to us the mystery of the Holy Trinity, Christ also reveals the mystery of man. The problem is how to understand it? God sent the Son – who is … God, to earth, giving Him – God the Holy Spirit, who is… God, or himself - to himself? We must understand one thing - Faith in God existing in the Holy Trinity is the foundation of the teaching regarding Christ's mission and His redemption. And this is the basic and fundamental truth of our Catholic faith for all of us. The dogma of the Holy Trinity is above all the truth about the living God, whose life consists in mutual possession, mutual devotion and perfect exchange. By sanctifying grace, we participate in the lives of three Divine Persons, getting to know the Father through the Son, in the love of the Holy Spirit. For us faithful, whether we have or not any theological education, it is impossible to fully understand the truth that in one God we confess the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, although we are aware that this is the most perfect community of life. God is perfect and there is nothing lacking in Him. In this unity of persons He is love, and – in fact – a selfless love. Similarly, a Christian family should be a community built on the foundation of love and unity. And finally, what is most important - the Holy Trinity teaches us practical and personal love. That's what we know. The rest we need to embrace with faith and imperfect comprehension, through the love of God. God, One in the Holy Trinity, give us Truth and Love, enlighten our minds so that we can continue to recognize what You give us as your children. Holy, Holy, Holy.
