He was aman who had been a millionaire and forced into direfinancial straights. However, his riches never could be denied him nor could anyone remove what hehad been given .

In the eighty-one years of his lifes accumulation ,the legacy my dad left to me was greater than Icould imagine . Our legacy and his summation, iscarried on in five simple words that will affect eachand every person whom we encounter: Remember

Now that we have established God is real , the nextthing that must be addressed is what bearing does ithave on your life and what benefit is there inrecognizing this fact:

I think most people are afraid to approach thesubject of God with others because they are scaredof their own lack of Faith . Do we want to professGod and then be wrong or be made to look a foolbecause our prayers, words, or actions potentiallyend in failure?

That Brings Me To The Big One: Does God Fail? Fair Question!

Have you ever seen anyone become consistentlygood or great at anything without a series of

constant failures?

People consider failure especially in the presence of others as one of the most horrific conditionsachievable and the potential ensuing laughter as oneof the greatest tortures the mind can endure .

Yet no person has ever become greater without a

constant influx of failure. It is within failure that ourprogram grows .

If we are of God, so are our failures and therefore itmakes sense that Gods failures appear within us. It

is not the question of does man or God fail, it is aquestion of can we afford, can God afford- not tofail?

Failure is our greatest ally because it in itself bydesign is our ability to learn, adapt, and overcome .This fact leads me to Gods greatest trait: God always overcomes in time and therefore failure issimply a necessity in the pursuit of perfection. So inthe truest sense:

God Will Ultimately Not Fail.

So again, what does that mean for you?

I want you to begin to think of life as a program andyourself as a free willed piece of coding, which issent forth to perform multiple purposes within thatprogram.

If you have ever known someone who is aprogrammer you have of course seen programmingis complex and tedious by nature .

A programmer develops an environment byestablishing guidelines and rules in whichultimately are created to achieve the end user asystem that is of benefit .

In developing the program the programmer createsmini-programs called Macros to perform tasks

within the program, which will contribute to theoverall efficiency of the program.

Once you begin to look for God in all that is and allyou are , you can only become more and moreaware . This sequence of activity develops into faith

in the existence and presence of God and your placement within that which is God.

As men our failures seem to only lead into torment .Yet once a mans transponder is activated in theform of faith even if that faith is only the size of amustard seed (his transponder the size of a pin tip)and he is in a working mode (Works) he will bechosen by grace and get what no man deserves :

He Will Become A New Creation.

A Creation Not Just Man But Spirit And TheSpirit Will Be Made Flesh And Its Works Will BeGreat. And That Spirit Will Be Given A Helper,Which Will Guide & Preserve Its Works, And All That Is Gods Will Be Given To This NewCreation!

As new creations we must begin to ask God not

what He can do for us (because in faith we knowthat all things are possible since God is all that exist & therefore all possibilities ; and if God is to give usall that is, we can rest knowing all the greatnessGod is to provide is a surety .) but God what can I do for you?

We are told that we do not belong to ourselves .Therefore once we are working we then must begin

to ask for tasks to accomplish as transformed newcreations that are in constant and direct contact with the programmer. We are becoming functioningMacros capable of achieving great tasks, whichbenefit the efficiency of the overall program.Therefore it comes time to begin to take action .

So we as servants become masters of ourenvironments capable of performing great assignedtasks.

At this point our location is always known throughour GPS transponder system and throughrecognition , constant awareness , and confirmationin thanks ; we have proper communicationestablished so that when we ask for an assignment we can receive our orders and begin the task of setting out to achieve whatever great tasks areappointed to us .

Overcoming Fear:

Fear is our adversarys greatest tool to try to cause

malfunction within the Macros and the environmentin which the Macros operate.

You can think of this adversary as an espionage program sent to test the functioning status andvalidity of each and every Macro. The programmerdoes not want any Macro or section of the programenvironment to fail. However, the programmer

needs to be aware of weak, faltering , ordiscombobulated portions of programming which

either need fixed, re-written , or all together doneaway with.

The Macro when functioning properly will use fearas a warning system to assist itself in guidance bothinternally and externally but will not let thisguidance program which is contained within itsown programming to cause the Macro to falter inthe endeavors it is given , but rather steer throughsafely its operating environment.

For this purpose the espionage program is allowed to exist and function until the programmer sees thatHis creation is perfect and then the espionage

program can be disposed of.

So we know that the fear of failure seems to be thegreat divider in not allowing people to develop intogreater creations and that failure is not to be fearedbut embraced if we are to grow .

We must realize failure in ourselves, our actions ,the actions of others, our environment, functioninghealth, the health of others, and even our God is notonly possible but also probable . Yet in knowing that

God always will overcome we can rest knowing thatonce the programmer knows of a system failure nomatter where it is, the programmer will in time notonly fix it to the programmers best of ability , butwill always attempt to make that portion of thesystems program greater, stronger , and less likelyto fail in the same nature again.

So Through Our Faith & Works We Might BeChosen by Grace to Become A New Creation,Which As A Servant Becomes A Master Able To

Achieve Greatness In All Things, Which Without Doubt Can Fail Forward, And Achieve Greater

Things Than Jesus!

Now We Must Discuss Debugging:

As new Macros capable of all things necessary toachieve whatever tasks we are appointed once weare issued and sent forth into the programenvironment we will begin to encounter thingswrong in the environment, in other programs,Macros, and sometimes the program environmentitself or other Macros will cause us as Macros to failor we will encounter the failures of others and need assistance in finding solutions that provide fixes .

We No Longer Belong To Ourselves But Become the Eyes, Ears, Mouth, & Heart of The Programmer.

As We Macros steer through the vastness of theprogram we will no doubt encounter faults thatrequire assistance .

When the Macro encounters such problems it must

report the failure to the programmer so that eitherthat section of the program environment, the failingMacro encountered , or you as a Macro can have itscode re-written so that whatever the problem is canbegin to be corrected .

This becomes the Macros first priority , which iscapable of being communicated through

recognition , awareness , & thanks . This debuggingsystem is known to us as prayer .

Since we are the eyes, ears, mouth, & heart of Godit is our duty to report problems to our programmer

so that He can begin to re-write code so thatwhatever failure is occurring can be best corrected for the overall health of the program. Anythingcausing harm to the program environment, otherMacros, or us as a Macro, needs correcting and weas new creations now constantly aware can noticethese faults causing harm and through prayer alert God that something seems wrong and may requireHis assistance .

Now of course as Macro your reports are sent in forevaluation for the programmer so that theprogrammer can run diagnostics and determine if a

fix is needed and what must occur in order for asolution to take.

Now if several Macros together notice a problem isof great need and they simultaneously report the

problem the programmer will see a priority flag toat least make a rapid evaluation of the situationbeing observed .

Once the programmer sees a real problem is

occurring and it needs attention , the programmerwill either re-write a portion of the system or Heoften sends His Helper program to assist Macros inovercoming the situations they encounter that arecausing harm .

Now if the programmer sees anything that hurts theoverall program, its working Macros, the

development of additional macros, or an individualMacro- that portion of program must be corrected,re-written , or if totally corrupted, weak, or useless

obliterated so that continued harm (noprogramming is ever totally destroyed but can be

disassembled) will not ensue. Remember: Eventhough failure is a necessity , God will ultimatelyovercome .

We can call this condition sin . Simply put:Anything that causes harm to the assets of theprogrammer.

Now the programmer knows that assets throughoutthe program environment are going to contradictinternally & externally continually and constantlyrequire updating so that working sections of codecan co-exist and ultimately work together for theoverall efficiency of the program. So even thoughtedious, the programmer does not hate the programor its assets for their faults but does hate the effectthese faults have and therefore wishes to always find reasonable solutions which benefit the overallprogram.

The programmer through the eyes, ears, mouths,hearts, & alerts of His programs Macros canpinpoint these harmful actions and offenses of code

perpetrated by Macros and through alerts determineproper courses of action to overcome whateverdamages occur and try to prevent further damage bythe perpetrating Macros. Often the programmer seesthat it is failures within Macros as they are tested bythe espionage program that cause these offensesand the programmer will work to better the codewithin those Macros to strengthen the Macros

internal code or find a way to better the operatingenvironment of that Macro. Now if the perpetratingMacro proves to be totally faulty in due time that

Macro will either not be used anymore and placed in a stagnant environment or may even be

disassembled so that it can no longer cause harm inits currant state . In this event the programmer mayhave to use those parts of Macros` code toeventually build a different Macro.

God gave us simply two commands as newcreations to follow & the rest can be obtained through Doing Your P R T :

Love Thy God With All Your Mind, Body, &Spirit.

Love Thy Neighbor

That Simple! Yet.

Loving God once you are Doing Your P R T Becomes easy and second nature . However, it is thelove your neighbor part that is often hard to follow .

My dad told me a story, which has steered my life.

He said there was a scorpion and a frog at apond and the scorpion asked the frog on itslily to give him a ride across the pond. Thethe frog said most certainly not, for if I giveyou a ride you will sting and kill me.However, the scorpion simply stated the

obvious and said if he was to sting the frogthat they both would certainly drown anddie. The frog thought it over and it madesense so the frog gave the scorpion a ride.Halfway across the scorpion stung the frog.The frog then stated : Why have you stungme? Now we will both certainly drown anddie! And the scorpion simply stated : Its in

my nature !

This is true of people and of our neighbors. Theywill conduct themselves according to their natures .

So then to survive in this world we must develop anability to discern the nature of those we encounter.

However, I have taken this concept further to state :

If my kids have a rabbit, they can love their rabbit, feed their rabbit, keep their rabbit safe, and as longas they know its a rabbit and what rabbits do theycan safely handle and care for their rabbit.

If my kids have a pet snake, they can love theirsnake, feed their snake, keep their snake safe, and aslong as they know its a snake and what snakes dothey can safely handle and care for their snake.

When they get in trouble is when their rabbit turnsout to be a snake.

So knowing the nature of the beast is imperative .However, once you know the nature of a beast youcan then not only love it, but care for it.

This Is What Led Me To Develop The FollowingStatement:

Know Thy Serpents Nature, & Love May Endure.

Where hatred and sin develops is in not taking thetime to discern the nature of others. Once we havedone that we can safely love them without being

harmed . So as new creations ask God for the abilityto discern the nature of those you encounter so that

you may not only love them but that your love forthem may endure them.

I promise this applies to husbands, wives, children,family members, friends, co-workers, and strangersin which you encounter each and every day.Remember: Be kind to strangers for you never knowwhen youre entertaining an Angel .

This Brings Me To Your Next Great Insights :

True Greatness Is Found In Everlasting Impressions.

When I think of my dad and all that he meant to meI realize that many of the things he said and did lefteverlasting impressions on me, my children, family,and people that he encountered so great that hisworks will not only last in and through us, but forgenerations to come .

When you think of great artist, musicians, poets,playwrights, mathematicians, etc that have longsince past you realize their works have endured .Those are the people in our history that we consider

to have been great and to have become legends .When I was given these thoughts I realized that Iwanted to become a man who with each and everyperson I encountered, would leave them better thanwhat they were before they met me. I wanted tobecome a man that would be unforgettable . Tobecome this man I will have become great and this

is the gift I asked God for!

I want my wife, children, family, friends, co-workers, and strangers I meet to be better off with

each encounter I have with them so that they maycarry those impressions with them and pass it tothose they encounter later in life.

I want my children to carry the legacies given to meto those they encounter just as I have carried mydads legacy to those Ive encountered.

I want my works to be of Gods so that they to mayendure the test of time such as my dads music,writing, inventing, philosophical & theologicalteachings , researching, and creative ability hasendured .

When I think of greatness , it is the everlastingimpressions we will leave and be remembered forwhich I seek and hope that you will seek in yournew life to come.

I Have A Personal Creed That States:

The stones I keep give love everlasting; Therefore I will be where I am meant to be until I am not

meant to be so fear not for with Happy you will be.My daughter Ceres at the age of five years old camedown tragically with Necrotizing Pneumonia causedby the H1N1 Swine Flu.

I had already lost my dad and mother to cancer anda brother to suicide as well as the relationship with

the mother of my three youngest children.

Due to all my losses I became so financiallyunstable that I had to send my oldest son whom I

had gained full custody of back to his mother and found myself in a deep rut of alcoholism; so whenmy daughter went from perfectly happy and well todeathly ill all in a span of three days fear like I hadnever known came to me.

Suddenly we were in a fight to save my daughterslife and she would go from deathly ill to well andback to deathly ill rapidly and her treatment optionswere in themselves heartbreaking.

Once she entered the hospital I stayed by her sidefor five months as she endured multiple procedures,Intensive Care Unit stays, and two major operationsthat would remove the outer lining of the infectedlung as well as the lower the lower lobe of the lung.She also had to endure four chest tubes, a P.I.C. lineto her heart, blood transfusions, vitaminreplacements, and aggressive physical therapy.

At several points we thought we may loss her andthe fear and heartbreak was overwhelming at times.Yet my little girl never showed fear, realized the

greatness of God as it was taught to her by herHappy (she could not say Papa so she called my dadHappy) and never wavered in her faith .

I remember having to explain to her that she had tohave a second major surgery due to the fact thatthere was still too much bug food in her lung and ithad to be removed for her to get better and the tears

in my eyes as I tried to explain to her what neededto occur.

She then looked at me and said: Daddy its going tobe ok! The worst thing that can happen is I will get

to see Happy again and then we will later betogether again as well dad.

I had never seen such faith and strength as this littlegirl that God had blessed us with had exhibited .

She did get well and got in the car and went homewith her mother and their new family.

However, when I walked out of the hospital I nolonger had a home, car, income or anything left andI was ok with that simply knowing my little girl washealed .

I spent a year on the streets rebuilding my spirit andthen a new important moment occurred when I

found out my daughter Ceres was part of a schoolplay.

I remember I had walked a long distance throughthe streets of Mobile, Al. in the dark early morningto catch a bus to Fairhope whereby my ex pickedme up to take me to Silverhill Elementary so my

daughter Ceres could have me present in her great moment . That effort of course meant the world toboth of us.

I spent the night at my Exs home with the familyand that next day I went for a walk with mydaughters Ceres & Aya and my youngest sonThomas.

As we were walking, my daughter Aya whocherishes small things kept finding stones that she

loved , brushing them off, and handing them to meto hold for her.

Later that day it was time for me to head back toMobile and the great strife I knew I would againface and my little Aya told me to hold onto thosestones for her. She was now three.

Three months later I was working in a WaffleHouse in Mobile and I went to get something out of my pocket and in my hand were also a bunch of stones . The acting cook was a little shocked at whatI carried and had to ask why I walked around with apocket full of rocks.

I then told him; my little girl gave me these stonesbecause they meant something to her and when Isee her next no matter the moment she will knowwhat she means to me.

Two days later God gave me that moment and shegot most of her stones . However, she made sure thatI would always continue to walk with a piece of hereverywhere I went.

The impressions those children made on my heart are everlasting . The impressions God allowed me tomake upon their hearts with something as simple asa little gray stone is amazing . This is the God of Faith, Love, & Hope.

Later that year a homeless man asked me on thestreets: How can a man such as yourself be here on

these streets? I simply replied: I guess this is whereGod wants me to be and when He no longer wantsme to be here I will not be.

Twenty-four hours later I was no longer homeless

and was back with my children. Soon I had a newcareer in the automobile dealership industry makinggreat money.

That year I gained luxury car & apartment, asummer stay in a beach home, but most importantlyI now had my children and was given my beautifulwife Leslie Decker whom God provided for me anda new daughter Julia Rae Decker.

God Is Real! What can become of you in aninstant is amazing. Rejoice!

Remember prayer is an alert signal most often used when something is wrong. However, prayer should be used to obtain true needs as well.

Do you need your life to come out of torments?Do you need to no longer seem to be at it alone?Do you need to be of greater substance incharacter ?Do you need to find the greatness you should achieve ?

Start By Saying:

God I know you are real . I may doubt religion, I

may doubt things written, I may doubt what peoplesay, I do doubt myself and my thoughts, but God I do not doubt you and I realize you are what I exist within and that I am a part of you and you are all of me and therefore I am not mine but yours and what you love I want to learn to love so I can bewhat you want me to become and therefore what I need to become.

Now I Ask You Pray This Prayer of Awakening:

God, I am aware of You now and recognize Yourexistence . I ask You to become aware of me &recognize me now and make me aware that Youknow me as I know You so that I may begin tonotice Your works in my life and the lives of those Iencounter and that I may begin to give You thanksin all Your works I encounter in each moment Iendure .

I pray God that I will never again not be aware of You nor fail to recognize You or Your works nor failto show confirmation of Your works by beginningnow to give You thanks in all the works you provide .

I pray God that You will begin to provide meunderstanding of Your works , the Holy Spirits

presence , scriptures which I encounter, abilities Ihave, tasks that You assign , and the signs andmessages You provide me.

I pray God that I will be open to ongoing direct communication with You , our Helper (Holy Spirit of Truth), Your Angels , and Your disciples .

I pray God that You provide me the ability todiscern the nature of those I encounter so I mayknow how to handle my affairs with them withoutbeing harmed and therefore be capable of lovingthem as You do.

I pray God that You open my heart to love You and

the people I share my life with that are a part of You as well.

Recognition:

Remember I said recognition is your connection .Why? Because by recognizing God through ourawareness of the blessings He provides we keep intouch with God.

You can be aware of a person in a room and notrecognize their presence . This of course alienatesthat person, but you can choose to do so right?Same with God! You can be aware of Him and notgive him recognition . However, to not do soalienates Him and therefore yourself.

with God. The further that connection falters thecloser to severe malfunction you become andeventually you can falter.

When people falter which, most do; the shame isoften great and the harm to God, yourself, & others

profound . Works of God you recognized and professed to others seem to have failed and oftenpeople will blame you or God for that failure eventhough it was their want to edify you that separated

you from God and caused the failure.

Please know that although this is one of Gods least favorite sins , forgiveness is there because Godunderstands pride and its ability to harm .Remember God created your ability to have Pride.

Pride when combined with recognition of God canbe an asset and seen as your dedication to makethings right . Hence, why you hear the statement: Hetakes pride in his work .

It is when we allow others pride in us and simply

quite recognizing God in front of others that pridebecomes harmful . Remember: Often the ones praising us dont want to hear God is our provider .If we allow them to lead us we simply will quiterecognizing God & will lose connection andtherefore many things will begin to falter .

As I said after so much strife, loss, fear,homelessness, addiction , dire financial straights,and the list goes on- I was awarded through the

faith provided me, the grace of God and removed

from the streets, placed with my family again, andgiven a new career, wife, & child.

Now comes the rest of the story of how I truly fell so far I could only land on top.

In my new career I seemed to have a God givenaptitude and dynamic that made me into a rapidly

successful salesmen.

I stayed at the top of the charts and seemed unstoppable. I had a natural ability to decipher

situations with customers and determine solutionsthat led ultimately to a sale where one was possible .

I rarely let a viable customer escape me and with amanager who could keep me focused. I was a

powerful tool to any dealership I worked for.

When I first started my career I was full of God andit showed -that in and of itself often was theenthusiasm that made people want to buy from me.

I started making great money and therefore again inlife was capable of providing well for my family,which was my driving force .

Of course there are those powers and principalitiesmy dad always pointed out to me always lurkingand seeking ways to devour and may I say theyespecially seek out those who are filled with Gods

presence and are allowed to do so.

They are not allowed to make you fail but are ableto provide you the means to allow yourself to fail if

you falter in your relations with God.How do we begin to fail God ?

I can tell you first hand. It begins in the home mostoften.

You see most people primarily do one thing or think

one thought at a time. Jesus told us that we cannotserve two masters and we cannot. So those powersand principalities when allowed will often find their

way into your life in the demands and faults of those you love and even more importantly the way you

react to those demands and faults.

I once heard a quote which I do not know theorigin that states: Life is 10% what happens to

you and 90% how you react to it AuthorUnknown.

This is one of the most powerful quotes I have everheard.

It is in how we react in our relations thatdetermines the strength of those relations .

So here I am doing well but in my day-to-daydealings I am having to deal with unsavorysalesmen and managers who were actively trying toget at me daily. I specifically remember one inparticular telling me: Max if you need moremotivation, why dont you go back to that bridge

you use to sleep under and spend the weekend. Iremember that statement being the straw that I allowed to break my back.

Suddenly , I was coming to work and getting into itregularly with this individual. He was plottingagainst me at every turn and forcing me to react . Of course by this time I was considered one of the topsalespeople out of about forty individuals and wasreceiving constant praise .

(I want to stop and let you know that praise is a very

powerful tool against you when God is removed )

Praise - Yes, praise .. the better I did the more I got .The more I got the more ways I came up with to get

it . Additive it was and I was getting very good atfilling that addiction .

So now I have praise, an addiction to it, egodeveloped , pride, anger & resentment towards aplotting manager, a family which has grownaccustomed to my newfound success.. Ah thetrappings.

Then came the firing: The manager who hated mecould not fire me, but he knew who my friends and allies were and sure enough he fired them. I wasirate and knew how great I was and let them knowthe loss they could suffer if I chose to find anotherdealership to work for .

Soon my friends were no longer at this dealershipand Im left with a hateful manager and instead of me being focused on God , His grace & mercy , Hisinfinite resourcefulness , & His plan for me : I nowwas focused on my family and my needing themoney , praise & to be the best , and suddenly Im ata dealership that no matter how good I did I was not

going to get my Ego filled anymore.I began looking and in no time I landed a newdealership offering me better pay & benefits andmost importantly a bunch of pats on the back tocome.

Initially I tried to come in with the same Godly flare

Id had previously, although I must admit it hadfaded greatly already. I boasted of how great God had been to me, how wonderful a dad I was to all

my children (I was being a great dad at this time),and I came blazing in their eyes and as promised

selling the dickens out of cars.

The manager portrayed himself like me (somethingwe salesmen do is mirror our customers) and I bought it hook, line, and sinker. As I startedcollecting checks, they were way bigger than any Ihad received before and I almost doubled myincome in the first month. That was the problem!

Suddenly, my car deals were of a much greaterimportance to me and I knew this new managerknew how to maximize profit.

At first he tried to continue to portray the good family man but as he learned my styles and knew Ihad a keen ability to discern the real factors in thedeal he began to openly ask questions that eventhough I knew the answer to instinctively , theyviolated the customer because they did not reallyintend for me to know the answers . I was almost acar prophet . I often could discern many things fromvery little information and if I chose to, those thingscould be used against the customer unknowingly .

This new manager realized my ability now and wasgiving me great praise for it in each and every sale.

Because of his direction I was making tons of money and enjoying great benefit . However,truthfully , deep down inside I can look back and sayI knew I was beginning to sell out for the dollar andhe knew it to.

So what does every great manager do when they seetheir employee might start to get their morals back:

Get them to spend money.You know - you should buy this , take your kids to dothat, you need a better place, etc. So now I wasspending more and needing to make more whichcould only be done if I became what my managertruly wanted : A Predator . A viscous predator thatcould & would use all dynamics to discern thenature, desire, and need of their customers anddevelop each sale to maximize profit no matter thedamage incurred by their customers financialsituation.

Suddenly, I was capable of performing the man of God, family, and friendship while using eachmoment to capture information, discern &coordinate a plan of attack, and then I would go tothe manager and place all the cards on his table sothat we could create a strategy which wouldultimately get my manager what he wanted . Heck,often I did not even know or ask what his desirewas or reasons for how we were operating in a salebecause in my mind the less I knew , the less guilt I had .

I of course told myself , God wants me to prosper ! I can promise you God does not want you to prosperby preying on the ignorance of people.

You want to know true evil? You can find it in adealership. To your face they are just another guywith a family like yours, with lives like yours, they

go to places like yours, they feel like you felt andhave found better ways but in the back room you

are money and anything you say can and will beused against you.

This was the nature of the beast and because of mytalents and the trappings of pride, money, familyneeds , & ambition : I became the beast .

Suddenly, I was no longer good at something butwas recognized as great at something.

I said earlier that true greatness is found in theeverlasting impressions we leave . What I failed tomention is the fact that you can be great in God and

His kingdom or great in Satan and His world.

Suddenly , after all the wonder of life that my fatherhad brought me to experience , the strife of muchloss , the legacy he had left behind for me, and thesalvation God had provided me ; I was polarized .

Of course at home with the kids Satan allowed meto continue to enjoy my family and there with themGod was always present but in my heart I started toknow each time I went to work that I was walkingaway from God it seemed and all he had given me

and this reality began to make itself known in mymind and a new player was emerging . Shame !

So each day I did my job and did it well and each

day I went to my family whom I knew God provided and sought solace in my ability to at least provide them a great life. However, shame, shame .It plagues you and eats at you in the eve. Youquestion yourself as you sit across from your prey.Why am I good at this? Why does God allow meyour luxuries? Cant you see Im taking you in thisdeal?

Then of course you will eventually go to people andsay this is bothering me and that is bothering me,but they tell you to take a day off and go spend some money on your family and you will know whyyou do what you do. Your family!

So in time it all was eating at me and I had no oneto talk to . I needed someone . God please send mesomeone .

When you are in a position like this in life, God stillhears you. He still wants and tries to provide for

your needs because He ultimately knows He willovercome the issues and knows your roots are

strong.Sometimes we have to find great failure and enduregreat loss so that we have to dig deeper . God doesnot do it to you, but He will allow it to happen to

you when you need to be cut down to size or pruned .

So all of a sudden I meet the women and sell her acar. We instantly connected , barely dated, gotmarried , and soon were to be with child.

Even when great things happen know that if theycause drastic change in our lifes routines great opportunities for both good and bad things occur .

Suddenly, I not only have family depending on mysuccess but a new wife. Suddenly, I not only havegreat family and children I have a great wife.Suddenly, I need my job to remain and continue tobe great even though it is eating at every decent

principle I know. Suddenly -

Then came the new home and new car and a newbaby coming . Where am I? At work . Suddenly, Ihave to be at work , be good at work , and be the firstin and last to leave. Suddenly, I have a great wife,child on the way , children wanting time and giftsfrom their daddy, a family with various financial &time-consuming needs and where am I. At work .

Always at work .

My great wife-Is she cheating on me. Im not ever

there. Who is she? What does she do with all thattime? Fear. Doubt. Fear. Shame, what a shame .Max I thought you were smarter than this, Ithought you would know not to let yourself be sotrapped. Whats your wife up to? Thought youwere the worlds greatest dad yet you betray themand go take a wife for yourself - How selfish !

Suddenly, I am suspicious of my new wife,arguments are ensuing, the family is saying Im not

doing enough and that Ive betrayed them, the kidsare being told daddy apparently has better things todo, everybody is wanting each and every dollar andno matter how much I can make it never seems nearenough . At work they say - Max- You should nothave got married its affecting your work notenough, not enough, shame, shame .

The anxieties, needs , and principles : Everything isin disarray, disorder, tired-so tired. Need relief but Icant break down, I just cant. Everybody isdepending on me to be me the GREAT ME !

Suddenly : Doc, I cant keep this up. I have to work all day often fourteen hours a day some weeksseven days a week. I got to stay up, I got to go tobed, I got to relax , dont let me relax . So here comesthe uppers, the downers, the stabilizers, the painpills, the anti-inflammatory, the sleeping meds,.

Suddenly, I can work all day without being tired then come home and clean the house, spend timewith the kids, spend time with the wife, take a pill

and provide her needs through the eve, then take apill and sleep two hours and then take a pill andwork fourteen hours. Wow! Now I can do this andkeep doing it and give everybody at least a good bitof what they want from me.

Of course after a while it becomes apparent that youare beginning to go insane and you start to know the

reality that sooner than later you are going to failand everybodys going to see the GREAT ME fail ;

and when I fail their lives are going to fail, and all I love is going to lose so much.

Suddenly , Its all so much, too much. Drink! NowIm taking the meds for everybody else , doing foreverybody else, and now Im drinking for me.

Suddenly, I dont seem so damn desirable toeverybody. My wife hates me, my boss sees me aliability, my family does not want to see thedestruction, and Im no good to be around the kids.

Suddenly- because Im a drunk I can now fail andits not because I was not great but because I havebad character and cant handle my alcohol. Of course he needs his pills- He was doing so great when he did not drink and took his pills.

No. Ive shamed myself. I drank, could not stopdrinking, and now I/We must lose it all not because

Im not Great but because a Great man drank.

Suddenly, comes a new character in ourwonderful journey: Loss & Grief

So of course I get fired, get more jobs on myreputation which I will rapidly ware out becauseguess what: Im now an addict & drunk and nomatter my talent as a vicious predator Im aliability. Now I cant even be Great as the monster I was made .

So job after job I lose, finances run out, our credit

cards maxed out, credit ruined, eviction noticesdisplayed for all to see, disgraced by both my andmy wifes family, rarely able to see my children,

despised by my wife who I may add is pregnant stillwith child as this all came so suddenly and then

suddenly : I get into a car accident while intoxicated.DUI! Now Im in trouble with the law so what do Ido: Drink more, take more pills, go insane daily,have to be cared for by my wife as I curse her forher despising me and embarrass her at every turnand guess what: Suddenly - I get in trouble for publicintoxication.

This is the same man who had traveled the countrydoing positive mental attitude seminars, ranmultiple businesses with his father and various wellknown business men, done creative finance,publishing, commercial video production,marketing, sales, management, possessed 24 UnitedStates patents, multiple copyrights and trademarks,authored books and programs and seemed capableof doing anything . A man who had lost it all andhad risen from the ashes through Gods grace tohave it all and suddenly :

Here I sat a drunk and addict with a ruinedreputation, loved lost, a child on the way, nomoney, no job, a car that was not mine, credit

ruined, readily waiting for each blow to come andnow in whats beginning to become serious legaltrouble and no way out .

So everyone says to me: Max you got to stopdrinking. You were ok on pills but you got to stopdrinking.

So I took a break and promised my sobriety and mywifes parents ( thanks to their own success) got us aplace and decided to help keep us a float. We by this

time were of coursed ruined and now had us a newbaby.

My wife had her own issues and of course had takena tremendous beating of her own in her dealingswith me, her family, my family, her health, and wehave a new baby to care for .

So we go to the churches and get charity and thegovernment for food stamps, and each othersfamilies for any bit of help they can afford us .

Then suddenly - my wifes health starts fadingrapidly and again everything seemed to rest on me.Being away from the dealerships and drinking Ibegan to find my roots in God again and wasstarting to look His way much more. I felt myself changing and suddenly I was needed & wanted !

So suddenly I was cleaning the house, taking careof my sick wife, caring for our new infant, trying todevelop family relations again, and suddenly a great change : My ex began to let me see my kids againon a regular basis.

Oh my God how great it was to be a full timehusband, caretaker, & dad. I was becoming the PTAdaddy although: Remember, Id stopped drinkingbut I never said I had stopped taking medications.Oh no not those I needed those and like everybodysaid I was ok with those ; it was the drinking thatmade me fail. Actually it was a combination of drinking and pills that was my recipe for real

destruction.

So Im trucking along being super dad and superhusband and suddenly Im needed so so much, so

often. More & more I did my part, whatever part Iwas given and glad to get it because they say howGreat he is to do so much for us. The thing is: Themore I did, the less everybody else did, the more Ihad to do and felt obligated to do and do and do tillsuddenly : Im hurting more often and need to takemore pain pills; Im too wound up from the kids Ineed an anxiety pill; Oh God this is hard . Do youpeople see what I do? Do you? Cant you help ? Dosomething! Dont you care ? You dont care !Suddenly: Drink!

Let the races start: So I never drink more than twobeers and Im ok! See? Told you its not the beer!Baby, these withdrawals are too much I need a beer.Suddenly ! The rollercoaster. With pills its all good.No pills; Im sick. I got to drink a little or Ill nevermake it through the kids.

Of course in doing all of this I still am in financialruin, my family loves me again, wants me all thetime, they need me and cant get by without me fora second. Of course I cant go turn myself into the

courts, how can I get back on my feet until I getthese legal troubles taking care of? I hate having torely on our families, churches , and government forassistance but you cant go without me.

God! I need help but if that involves me having togo to jail, being away from family, or stoppingtaking pills and drinking Id rather wait for a better

option.

So God : You gave me this great understanding of you, and a relationship with you, and have provided me in and through all things. You God inspired mydad and I to create the work the Preserved &Complete Gospel of Jesus so

Well God, I was thinking : Since Im home caringfor everybody and dont need to go to jail until I geteverybody else taken care of , um.. Why dont wework again on that project and bring it tocompletion !

So I did for everybody, took my pills, drank mybeers, worked on the Preserved & Complete Gospelof Jesus . Shame, shame Maxwell! You have thisamazing relationship with God , you talk with Him,He provides you and yours all your needs , andalthough you have lost a great deal , here you sitwith more than you had. You have your wife, youhave your children, you have time with your entirefamily, you have a work of God that seems as a

second coming of Christs message as not heard since He ministered to His disciples , and yetShame, shame Maxwell. You should feel guilty theway you are relying on God, your family, churches,the government, relying on everybody else. Shame,shame Maxwell.

Oh how you can have it all and be so defeated .How you can be defeated and gain it all.

I fell so far I landed on top.

There I sat so proud . Better I was. I was super dadwhen no one else could be, super husband, supersmart, accomplished, Drink/Pop.

So there I was Christmas Eve with the work completed it seemed , all was well, finally I can justlet go and relax for a moment and enjoy whats tocome. God told me somehow, somehow I knew:Maxwell you are going to go to jail and need towear your jail clothes underneath. I knew I wasdone. I knew the project was at the point I could dono more then: -its time to relax-Its time to Drink!

Yes, there I sat Christmas Eve a fool and a drunk forall to see by the Christmas tree . So as promised theSheriffs showed up and suddenly it was time for meto go to jail and face a great multitude of issues.

Of course in jail now I had little memory of theconditions leading up to this point nor knowledge as

to who did what, who was mad. Did my wife call,my ex, her man, her brothers, a child? Who did thisto me? Who is mad at me? Who did I offend?

Oh God! Oh God! Is my wife all right, mychildren.. Oh God my children . It was Christmas

Eve and they had to see me arrested and taken to jail. Oh God, they will never be able to forget that .

Is my baby girl ok? Oh no: How is my wife going tomake it? Her health? She has never had to take careof the baby without my help ? Oh God.

Then suddenly: Overwhelming fear, anxiety,

grief, shame, isolation, separation, and the worstof all anticipation.

Anticipation: Is my wife going to leave me? Am Igoing to be in here a year or more? Whats going tohappen to me? Can my wife make it ? What if herparents cut her off? What about my baby ? Whatabout my kids ? What about our home, our life, mylife, their life ? Oh God what have I done. Theshame .

I cant reach them, please let me know something.Isolation, separation, where are they all. Day afterday the thoughts could only plague me. -Thequestions, the fears, and the anticipations. God!God! Help!

Where are they? Why no messages ? Why no letter?Guards have they called ? Put minutes on myphone? Why has no body brought me anything?Dont they know Im scared ? Dont they know Imcold ?

On the third day I was moved to population.God! These people! Protect me God! Help ! Familywhere are you? Dont you care? Can I get a pen?Oh God, they say I cant mail my own house? Icant remember anyones address? God? Help ?Dont they care? Whats going to happen to me?These people? God dont make me do this ? Dont

make me be like this ? Get me out of here!

God they are treating me like a criminal ! Why?Please God dont abandon me now. I believed in

you! I have always told people You are real ! God! Help! Wheres my family? Dont they care? Whatsgoing to happen to me?

These are the thoughts that raced as I paced thefloors day in and day out! Then anger ! God , afterall Ive been and done for each of them . I gave andgave and gave till I had nothing to give . God ! Whydid you let me give so much and now no one evencan have the decency to help me even a little as I sithere. How about them? Why dont they get to sufferlike me? Why is it that I give and give and my great reward is to suffer this, all this , with nothing , withno one , cold , hungry, scared , all this! God so this isthe way it is! I do and do for everyone else and whatI get is this . Ive been used! Used God! You are all I have please, please God help me, deliver me fromthis place! Where is everyone I loved so much that I gave myself till there was no me even for You?

It cant be : They love me. I know they do. Youknow how much my babies love me and need me.You know how much that baby girl loves and needs

me. You know my wife is sick and needs me and isprobably suffering trying to manage herself, thehouse, and our baby & affairs. God I know my exhas to know how much I love my children and that Ihave given till I was almost no more . Everybodymust know . They must care . God! This is the familyYou gave me! Where is my family?
