Enclosed are the promised pedigree charts and family group records I have

compiled on Rev. Charles Osbom. My database is in Personal Ancestral File, version

    5.2. Because

    of

    some

    of

the long place names, PAF abbreviates smaller entities. I have

hand-written in the missing information, such as Cool Spring, Sussex Co., DE, or

    Alamance Co., NC.

    If

there are questions on this research, please contact me.

    of Jesse

an d his son, Thomas Evans Kenworthy (1852-1927), my great grandfather.

    Je sse died relatively young.

    There

Is a biography of him In

    th e

    Biographical

    an d Genealogical

    History of

    Wayne

County, Ind., which says that he owned a mill which he ran as Kenworthy an d Co. He later sold th e

    mill

    to go

    Into

    business

    with his

    brothers

    In law manufacturing

    linseed

    oil.

    Jesse s

    father, William Kenworthy, Is

    mentioned

    briefly In LevICoffin's Reminiscences

    a s

having been a miller at/near Richmond, so It's possible that Jesse

    Inherited

    th e

    milling business.

    Hope this helps.

    Greetings, Karen Campbell

    I

    am

    a great-great grandson of Mary Pedrick Evans 1825-1901 , a daughter of

    Thomas and

    Hannah

    Pedrick

    Evans

who married Jesse J. Kenworthy of Richmond, Ind., In 1851. Obviously,

Iwas thrilled to find your blog with so much information about the Evans family. Your story

    about brothers David

    and

Thomas grabbing the minute books from each other was

    new

    to

    me...and

    yet

it sounded right. I have a letter from

    Jesse

    to Mary which mentioned

    her

    Uncle

    David In a tone

    that suggested

    some family discord.

    Are you also an Evans

    descendant?

    Mark,

    Here

    are

    some records i

    have abou t

    Thomas Evans

    house

    in

    Waynesvilie, Ohio.

    First, there three letters

    about

    the house from

    June

    of 1955,

Secondly, there are note about visitsto the house inaround 1963 and

1973, written bymyAuntieSis (Elizabeth F. Evans). I m not sure what

the 14,1906 Seth W. Brown Prof. George Brown article inMiami

Gazette and Dec. 1905 HistoryofWaynesvilie byThomas J. rown in

    a box

    she made

at the top right of the first

    page

    of

    her

    notes refer to,

(maybe some source material, but ifso itwasn twith her note and

    photos).

    She

writes of three visitsto Waynesvilie, and attempts to

    find

    the house. From what

    she

    wrote, (i didn t

    see

    this untilafter her death

three years ago) she sounds satisfied that she d found the righthouse

    (not the

    house

    she d

    seen

on her previous two visits to the area), on her

    October 29.1973

    visit, and

    that

    its

    the same house

    in

    th e

    three photos.

And lastly I ve attached three photos of the house fipo s IE Housel,

TE House2. TE House3). probably taken byAuntie Sis, (they were with

her note), on her visitin the early 1960s. I mguessing the earlier date,

    because

the of the size/format of the prints,

    and

    they

    ar e

    in black and

white. But its possible someone else might have sent them to her.

    She

labeled the back of each of the three photos in her own handwriting as -

    T h omas Ev an s

    ome

    Waynesvilie, Ohio

    Her

    notes

    about the

    house and the three

    photos of

    the

    house ar e

    undated.

    See

    what you think.
