Join the Orinda Teen Advisory Council (grades 6-12) andprovide input about teens, develop programs and events, andperform community service projects. OTAC provides input tothe City of Orinda and Orinda City Council. OTAC meets thefirst Monday of each month, 4pm, at the Orinda CommunityCenter (September-June). Welcome to join at any time. Orinda Kids–”OK Camp”Ages 3.5-Completing Kindergarten

Join the fun at OK Camp where our camp leaders create a camp environment for the enjoyment of your children.The goal of OK Camp is to provide an atmosphere ofenjoyable learning experiences. Daily activities may includesports, crafts, dance, games, music, reading-time, andhiking (exploring). Special trips and guest presenters.Take a walk to the fire station, hear a presentation and see the wildlife, dance to music, and ride a bike duringtraffic safety town! Many fun and educational activities.

OK Camp & Corral–Extended Camp

Join the OK Corral campers for an extended day. Campersare supervised for lunch and fun times. Pick-up by1pm.

Join Camp Orinda and have a summer filled with great trips,games, hiking, arts and crafts, skits, cooking, sports, specialevents, and all kinds of fun. Each session includes a differenttheme with adventures to such locations as Crab Cove andSan Pablo Recreation Area and excursions to places such asLawrence Hall of Science, Waterworld, Exploratorium, OaklandZoo...and many more. This year we are excited to add asports curriculum to the camp.

Adventure days are usually on Tuesday and excursions onThursday. Specific details of each session are available in the camp newsletter distributed on the first day of camp. Fees include all trip, entrance, and bus fees. Note that tripsare subject to change.

A self-contained three hour class from 9a-12p whichincludes a variety of topics and activities.

K I N D E R G A R T E N P R O G R A M –Take the Plunge!“Take the Plunge!" in our 4-week Arts and Kindergartenpreparation curriculum, lovingly taught by kindergartenspecialists, especially designed to ease incoming K-kidsinto school with a love of learning! The morning mimics a regular Kindergarten school day. Our “Ocean Adventures"theme gently take us under the waves for fun oceangeography and ocean life study, with hands-on activities in writing, math, science, reading skills, art, music, drama, dance, crafts, P.E., etc. All woven together in avisual and performing arts style! F I R S T G R A D E P R O G R A M –It’s Only Natural!Features a fun, hands-on exploration of the ocean,including fascinating sea creatures, ways to go on andunder the water, and the awesome power of the sea! Weprovide arts and appreciation activities with a “Make it,Do it, Try it" style! Create underwater themed art; makemodels of sea life, ocean going vessels and submarines.Study how life in the ocean is a marvelously balancedecosystem. Our Kindergym program offers range-of-movementexploration activities where a child can climb, hang, jump,balance, and bounce. Hit the stage with your musical talents in this specialcamp for aspiring musicians. By the end of the week your band will perform songs for family and friends! Allinstruments and vocals welcome. BandWorks instructorsare professional musicians who love to teach and workwith kids. Each camp includes a live performance as partof the last class. BandWorks provides free supervisionfrom 12-1pm for kids who sign up for both morning and afternoon programs during the week.

Orinda Musical Theater & Orinda Little TheaterCo-Sponsored by Kids’N Dance

Children of all abilities are proud to be a part of ourpolished mini-productions of musicals that are fun,challenging, and engaging. Cast members learn to develop character, vocal technique, presentation, anddance skills. The Orinda Little Theater (4-8 year olds)sing, dance, and perform a short play. The Youth Theaterpresents plays lasting about forty minutes with about 4-6songs and the cast for 8-14 year olds present plays lastingabout 1-1/2 hours with 10-12 songs. Participants areexpected to independently study their lines, songs, and blocking (as scheduled) and to attend all rehearsals. In addition, parents support the quality of our productionsby committing a required six hours of time (for a $60 feeyou may opt out of doing the work and Kids‘N Dance will hire someone to take your place). Most costumes aresupplied, but parents are required to provide the basics.Please have child prepare a song for the first day of class(except for Orinda Little Theater). Enjoy the fun of social dance! If you are new to partnerdancing, David Kelso and Chris Mehling’s relaxed teachingstyle makes it easy to learn the skills needed to dance welland have a great time in any social situation. In additionto dancing with your own partner, learn the necessarylead-and-follow skills more quickly by exchanging dancepartners several times during each class.

Beginner (C) Designed for those with little or nobackground playing tennis. Course introduces fundamentalstrokes (forehand, backhand, serve, and net play); rules,scoring, and court play etiquette.

Advanced Beginner (CB) Understands grips, groundstrokes and can begin to control the serve. Emphasis ontechnique, doubles strategy, and movement on the court.

Intermediate (B) Players have a basic understanding ofthe game, can sustain a rally, and has a serve that exhibitssome control, but is in need of a second serve. The USTAwill rate you under 4.0 but above 3.0.

Advanced (A) Good consistency, hits with depth andcontrol, serve well (including a good spin second serve),good overhead shots, and feels comfortable at the net. The USTA will rate the advanced player a 4.0 and over.

Orinda Community Center, Library, & City Hall Meeting & Event Rooms

Beautiful facilities are available to rent for banquets, parties, fund-raisers, meetings, and performances.Facilities accommodate between 10-240 and include a variety of

meeting rooms, auditoriums, theater (with performancestage, state of the art sound and lighting systems, andtheater seating), and kitchen.

Founders Auditorium The Founders Auditorium with adjacent rooms, kitchen, and garden are ideal for largemeetings, parties, weddings, and events. Rooms mayaccommodate 50-250. Take a tour of this beautiful facility.

Sarge Littlehale Community Room Located at Orinda City Hall this room is ideal for meetings and smallgatherings. A separate kitchen is attached. Room mayaccommodate up to 49 people and is available for rental.

Orinda Community Center Park & AmphitheaterLocated next to the OrindaCommunity Center the park isavailable for use on a first-come,first-served basis for individuals andsmall groups (less than 30). The

Community Center Park is not available to rent. The parkincludes a large open grass area, two playground areas,picnic and BBQ areas. The outdoor Amphitheater isavailable for day and evening rentals.

Orinda Community Center Tennis CourtsThe Orinda Community Center Park contains three tenniscourts. Lessons offered through the Orinda Parks andRecreation Department. Tennis light cards available for purchase at the Orinda Community Center.

Orinda Oaks ParkOrinda’s 12-acre, hidden treasure,located on Moraga Way betweenHall and Ivy Drives, is the perfectspot for family, team, parties, andretreats. Orinda Oaks has a BBQ

and plenty of picnic tables. The lush grass field is anenticement to a quick lawn game or volleyball match.Park available to rent. Call (925)254-2445.

F I E L D SOrinda Sports Fields

Orinda Sports Fields, located on SportsField Drive, off of Camino Pablo Roadand adjacent to Wagner Ranch, areavailable for rentals. Area includes

large grass field and two baseball diamonds. Fields areideal for baseball, soccer, lacrosse, large gatherings, etc.

Pine Grove Fields Multi-use fields located behind 8 Altarinda. Area includesbaseball diamonds and large grass playing field(s). Area is ideal for soccer, baseball, other field activities, and largegatherings. Available to rent.

Wilder Sports Fields & Picnic AreaTwo multi-use synthetic turf fields (with lights), locatedoff of Highway 24, are currently being built. Rentalrequests are now being accepted. A large group picnicarea is available for rentals.

Wagner Ranch Gym Wagner Ranch Gym, located at 350 Camino Pablo, is available to rent for events, meetings, and athleticpractices and games. Large eventsmay be accommodated. Wagner Ranch

Gym has a large performance stage and kitchen.

Trails & Lamorinda Trail LoopThe 17.5 mile Lamorinda Trail Loop is a continuous routethat links Orinda, Lafayette, and Moraga and also manyregional trails. Maps and trail permits available at the OCC.
