NITIE: A Place to Learn and Grow

Innovation is pivotal to the success of any business endeavour, be it a foray into new ventures or bolstering the existing enterprises. Successful innovation is an outcome of a marriage between an insight into the business situation and

supplementary analytical skills to attack it with the right kind of approach. Such an approach is inherently multifunctional. What eventuated in the emergence of

NITIE was this necessity of integrating technology with management for providing solutions to complex industrial problems taking cognizance of the dynamic business environment.

National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) was set up by the

Government of India in 1963 with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the International Labour Organisation. With the aim of the institute endeavoured to nurture industrial excellence

employing the versatile industrial engineering tools. The institute, since its inception, has been adapting itself to the changing industrial scenario and hence

the courses offered by it carve out young managers geared to face the real life managerial problems.

NITIE is equipped with the state of art learning facilities and boasts of a faculty drawn from diverse disciplines having rich experience in teaching and

consultancy. NITIE provides the industry with an expertise in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Personnel Management and Marketing.

NITIE along with IIMs, IISc anf IITs has been declared as "Institute of

National Importance". The institute is administered through a Board of Governors representing the industry, the government, labour and professional bodies.

Over the last four decades, NITIE has developed a symbiotic relationship

Selection Procedure of PGDIE consists of 3 parts:

1. Shortlist for GD/PI

2. Group Discussion (non- elimination round)

Guidelines for GD/PI Day

Candidates are expected to maintain a high degree of discipline throughout their stay in NITIE

campus. Any act of misbehaviour or indiscipline will be duly reported to Admission Committee

Candidates must make sure that they reach NITIE Campus by 8 am in the morning

Candidates must carry their ID Proof with them

Candidates must make sure that they are properly dressed and are looking tidy

Boys: Light coloured shirt (with or without blazer), trousers, tie (optional), clean shave and polished shoes

Girls: Salwar suits or formal shirt & trousers

Candidates must make sure that they carry all the below mentioned documents with them;

CHECK and RECHECK

No need to bring your CV

Candidates should bring all the certificates related to the various achievements they have mentioned

in the form (Photo copy of these certificates is not required)

For any clarifications/help, please contact any Student Volunteer or Help Desk

Any change in above schedule will be communicated to candidates

The candidate must not leave his/her place without informing Help Desk

Please do not talk in corridor and maintain utmost silence

Guardians accompanying candidates will be provided a different venue to sit during the process
