SOMMELIER SELECTION
We understand that browsing through our extensive list can be a daunting prospect. For that reason,
here’s a small selection of our favourite wines.
WHITE
Cantina Goccia ‘d’Oro’, Grechetto, Puglia, Italy 2016 £39.00 - Perfect easy sipper. Light, bright, clean and refreshing. Zesty lemon and underripe white peach notes.
Seresin ‘Memento’ Riesling, Marlborough, New Zealand 2012 £45.00 - Always a classic, but from a region known for Sauvignon Blanc. Floral and chalky aromas with a
hint of beeswax. A brilliant balance of sweetness and acidity preceed a long, harmonious finish.
- Benanti is a pioneer on Italys’ southern tip, producing wines with fierce volcanic minerality and rich
texture. The wine is challenging but can produce world class pairings with fish.
Mchenry Honnen ‘Rocky Road’, Chardonnay, Margret River, Australia 2012 £65.00
- From the creator of Cloudy Bay, this stunning chardonnay is perfect for autumn. As the nights roll in
cosy down with this rich, toasty nutty wonder and let your troubles melt away.
Au Bon Climat ‘Hildegard’, Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc/Aligoté, California, USA 2013 £74.00
- Paying homage to the forgotten grapes of Burgundy. Jim Clendenen has been breaking hearts with this
show-stopping wine unlike any other. Chardonnay in disguise, weighty in body with hints of banoffe pie, buttered crust and a length that will carry you long into tomorrow.
Alheit Vineyards ‘Cartology’, Chenin Blend, Western Cape, South Africa 2015 £82.00 - Vanilla poached white peaches and sweet buttered popcorn. Touches of underipe fruit and delicate
nutmeg notes show this wines potential to age. However it is both complex and lean in its early
years.
Wienbach ‘Cuvée Theo’, Gewütztraminer, Alsace, France 2012 £90.00
- A great cult Alsace estate. Theo expresses classic lychee, mango and papaya fruits with wet heather and exotic sweet and pungent spices. Rich oily texture and full body with flavours that go on and on
and on and, well you get the idea.
Mayacamas, Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California 2014 £130.00 - One of the first established wineries in California in the late 19th century, it has had an interesting life
of different owners and disrepair. However it has stood the test of time as a Napa staple. Buttered
toast and hazlenuts with ripe nectarine and apricot fruits.

SOMMELIER SELECTION
We understand that browsing through our extensive list can be a daunting prospect. For that reason,
here’s a small selection of our favourite wines.
RED
Plan B ‘GT’, Cabernet Blend, Western Australia 2015 £38.00 - Full with dense black forest fruits and bitter red berries. Mouth-filling, but a shot of residual acidity lifts
the palate to add a refreshing edge.
Seresin ‘Leah’, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand 2014 £46.00
- Fragrant berry-fruit aromas, interlaced with spice and herbal notes. This wine is focused and
concentrated, with a succulent fruit core, framed by fine-grained tannins and a mouth-watering acidity.
San Polo, Rosso di Montalcino, Sangiovese, Tuscany, Italy 2014 £52.00
- Sangiovese in its most delicate form. It has a light to medium body with hedgerow fruits but with a
gamey finish making it feel like serious red wine. Good for meat, fish combos.
Cifra, Cabernet Franc, Toscana, Italy 2013 £56.00
- Jam packed with black berry fruits, black pepper spice and a bold gamey finish. Great with game and mushrooms.
Duckhorn Vineyards ‘Decoy’, Zinfandel, Sonoma County, USA 2013 £72.00
- A rich and rustic beauty with notes of black forest gâteau and pastry encased blueberries.
Greenock Creek ‘Cornerstone’, Grenache, Barossa, Australia 2014 £79.00
- “One spicy meatball”, strawberry leaf and raspberry fruits with a whole pantry of spices. Cornas, ‘Brisse Callioux’ Coulet, Syrah, Rhône Valley, France 2008 £98.00 - Cornas is known locally for making the most powerful wines in the area but time has tamed this beast.
Fresh from the stable with a hefty dose of game and wet hay, this wine is all rhone. Sour red cherries,
green strawberries and cola bottles. Full with a long smooth finish. A must for meat lovers.
Alter Ego de Palmer, Cabernet Blend, Margaux, Bordeaux, France 2013 £130.00
- Our pick of Bordeaux second labels from a true giant. Blackberry leaf and fresh tanned leather with
fruit compot and a luscious finish.

Organic & Biodynamic
Below are a list of our chosen producers who aren’t necessarily certified as biodynamic or organic but
who do however work using said principals. In complying to these guidelines, each producer is credited with the ability of accurately farming sustainably not only through vineyard management but as a way of
life.
WHITE
OB Civitas Lunaria, Pecorino, Abruzzo, Italy 2015 £39.00
- Luscious notes of confit lemon, glazed honey and apricot give this perfumed wine an unexpected twist.

OB Chene Blue, Viognier, Valcluse, France 2014 £60.00 - Chene are a real conscious producer. They are always offering back to the environment and thinking of
lifestyle, their wines are also vegetarian. Ripe papaya and melon.
RED
OB Sepp Moser, Zweigelt, Neusiedlersee, Austria 2013 £58.00 - A qwerky little gem. This wine has light to medium body with blackcurrant, heather and game notes

O Chateau Beaucastel, Grenache Blend, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Rhone, France 2012 £105.00 - From the famous family Perrin, this outstanding CNDP estate has taken quality to the extremes and
really focuses on sustainability and natural health in the vineyard.
OB Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Pinot Noir, Echezeaux, Burgundy, France 2000 £740.00
- Arguably the world’s most famous bio-dynamic estate. This wine speaks for itself.
O - In the late 1930s and early 1940s and his wife Gabrielle, both accomplished botanists, developed
organic agriculture. The Howards were influenced by their experiences with traditional farming methods
in India as well as biodynamics and their formal scientific education. Sir Albert Howard is widely considered to be the "father of organic farming" because he was the first to apply scientific knowledge
and principles to these more traditional and natural methods.
B - The development of biodynamic agriculture began in 1924 with a series of eight lectures as was given
by philosopher Rudolf Steiner. Better recognised as a furthered form of organic farming, Bio-dynamic
culture refers to the ways in which "a holistic understanding of agricultural processes" are better understood. Loire vigneron Nicholas Joly was one of the earliest enthusiasts of the biodynamic movement
