ST. FRANCIS of ASSISI ALTAR SOCIETY… JOIN US IN SERVICE! There is much to do and we are seeking new members to join us (and previous members to rejoin us) in our good works! The Altar Society is a worthwhile ministry. Funds generated through membership dues and fund-raisers are used for altar needs: the supplying of altar bread and wine, candles, vessels and vestments for priest and altar servers. We purchase the palms distributed on Palm Sunday and some of the banners displayed in the church. We also purchase the wine and lamb for the Seder Meal each Easter season. Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. Annual membership dues are $20.00. We are responsible for light altar cleaning on a weekly basis and major cleaning of the church twice a year. We also host one parish dinner and several socials throughout the year. Please join us as we look forward to a year of working together in fun and fellowship! Simply fill out the provided form and we will see that you are put on our membership roster for 2017-2018. Mail your form to: Mary Rollins, 2886 Ben Mac Rd, Orange, TX 77632, drop it by the church office or drop it in the collection basket. The Lighting Enhancement Project at St. Mary Catholic School is progressing very well. Thanks to all the contributors who have funded this upgrade project. All the classrooms, hallways, offices and bathrooms are complete. We still need to convert the library and the gym. If you thought about contributing and just didn't get around to it, now is a good time. If you contributed earlier and can contribute again, please do so. All previous contributions have gone to procure materials. All labor is volunteer. **Donations may be given to Jerry Ehrman or Joe Murphy, or put in an envelope marked 'Lighting Enhancement' and put into the
collection basket.. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
**Remember to save Box Tops for Education and **Proof of Purchase squares on the Community coffee bags You may drop them off at the church office or St. Mary School. **Register your Kroger card to St. Mary’s Church Thank you for your continued support and prayers for our Catholic School.
