announcement of our Captains and SRC Executive.
Although the year has flown by, it has been another exceptional year at GPS. We can only have an
exceptional year with the support of the students, staff, parents, carers and our school community all
working together. Thank you for your support. I am truly blessed to lead this great school of ours.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your children.
Thank you for a great year.
We are focusing on:

Look who has been discontinued from Reading Recovery! Congratulations to Jaxson Galvin and Hayley Green-Crook. You are both clever readers and should be very proud of
the hard work you’ve put into you learning in Reading Recovery. In the kindest of ways, you’re now both BOOTED
off the program! Well done to you both!

GHS Orientation Day yesterday
Yesterday was the full day Gloucester High
School Orientation Day. Students were met by
Mr Kingston (their Year Advisor for next year)
and joined in the school morning assembly before
heading off to the hall to meet many important
GHS staff with whom they will spend much of
their time next year.
They then headed off with their peer support
leaders for an orientation of the school and the
rest of the day experiencing and getting to know
Gloucester High School.
A sausage sizzle lunch was also squeezed in
during the activities.
This was their last visit to GHS before their
official arrival on Day 1 in 2017 (yikes!).
By all accounts, it was a successful and enjoyable
day had by all.

Year 6 Auction
What a response! Students came
prepared to buy at last Thursday’s
Year 6 Auction. A few certainly had
their eyes for specific students.
We raised over $850!
Year 6 students will go to classrooms
on Monday 12th December for a few
hours to do as you command. All
money raised went to the Year 6 gift to the
school.
