-Support activities of “Baan Sukhruthai Mother and Baby Home” under the good Shepherd Sisters Good Shepherd Development Vocational. Help pregnant women and children. -Help female prisoners with career and daily life in Samutsakhon Prison. -Raise fund for donation for the purpose of buying First Birth Kit for Poor Mothers. -Support the donation to the women’s cooperative – Village Volunteers (MO-DO). -Support and educate the teenager under project “Stop Teen Mom”. )
Our Club History
(According to the Zonta International intention to expand Zonta club for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life of all women the globe. Initially, there were four members from Zonta Club of Bangkok I namely, Zontian Kulchalee Sermtavisubya, Zontian Vichitra Aramwattananont, Zontaian Chawewan Puranitee,Ph.d, andZontian Moragot Chotikul. They recognized the importance of this organization toward to the women, so they decided to invite the other 32 business women to cooperate and establish the club. After that, they had proposed and discussed about the club establishing to Lt. Governor District 17, Zontian Na Rudee Kiengsiri, and Area 6 Director, Zontian Kunchana Saisiriporn. Zontian Na Rudee Kiengsiri was the one who played the vital role to coordinate with District Governor, Zontian Virma De Dios, and Zonta International President, Zontian Olivia A. Ferry to establish a new charter number for the new club by Zontian Laleewan Karnchanacharee, ex-president of Zonta Club of Bangkok I, acted as SOM chairman with Zonta Club of Bangkok I as the SOM Club. Later, Past President Zontian Usa Monserinusorn has brought along Chater President Zontian Kulchalee Sermtavisubya and Zontian Moragot Chotikul, treasurer of the new club, to visit Zontian Lady Poonsap Noppavong na Ayutthaya to announce the establishment of the new club, Zonta Club of Bangkok VIII. Moreover there were advisors namely, Zontian Suphaporn Peters, Zontian Pranut Taechasen, Zontian Panida Pathumarak, Zontian Mayuree Chotikul, and Zontian Rattana Wonglotewit. Zonta Club of Bangkok VIII received charter number 1843 on the May 13th of 2008 and had an orientation for new members on May 21st of 2008 at Chateau De Bangkok Hotel on Soi Ruam Ruedi, Bangkok. The working committee comprised of 20 members from the total of 36 founding members. Zonta club of Bangkok VIII is the 13th Zonta Club of Thailand.)
