jthe Higher Committee on the Discipline of Officialsmade the following resolution1 on the disciplinary affairof UNO Suejiro, Secretary of JVelfare Ministry' on Marchb3 1948: ^

, The Higher Committee oh the Discipline of Officialsexamined the disciplinary affair of UNO Suejiro, Secret-ary of "Welfare Ministry.

While in his oflice as vice-director of Sasebo Repa-triation Belief Station, UNO Suejiro had a fire brokenout from the vicinity of western roof of the 3rd Store-house, Material Section, Sasebo Repatriation Relief Stationabout ll p.m. on November 22,^ 1947 and had the saidstore-Eouse and a water-closed attached to it completelyburnt down and had materials kept in the said store"hoTise burnt down. The cause seems to be an electricheat fusing, and it was owing to the carelessness of TsudaKenjiro who was in charge of electricity, Supply Sectionof the said Station and operator at the time of the e^:e~

cntion of wiring work in the said store-house. The factthat a great quantity of materials kept in it Vas burntdown, being unable to be taken away, shows"that UNOSuejiro.had not done his best in fighting the fire and^it testifies that he had not been so very careful usuallyin preventing fire. , ' '

In short, it can be concluded that his every daynegligence in the fire prevention and the supervision overhis inferiors caused to produce such an accident.

The above mentioned act is clear enough accordingto the application for inspection by the Minister of Wel-fare and its attached documents.

The abovementioned act corresponds to the OrdinancePertaining to the Discipline of Officials, "£rt. 2, Par. 1,and it is decided that he should have his monthly salaryreduced one-tenth for three months according to the sameOrdinance, Art. 3, Par. 2 and tar. 5.
