installation of Fire Extinguishers at 3064 (Three thousand sixty four) Primary Schools and 628 (Six hundred twenty

eighty) Upper Primary Schools of Purba Medinipur district.

Terms & Conditions for submission of Tender Paper for supply of Fire Extinguishers:1. The rate of materials must be written in both words and figures dearly and overwriting / correction, if any, must be

authenticated with the signature of the tenderer.2. The successful tenderer has to make supply of the above mentioned items as per recommended specifications

only. The specification precisely means IS standards as noted against each items. Tenderers have to submitcopies of Specified IS Certificates at time of submission of tender papers.

3. The successful and selected tenderer must complete the installation work using their own personnel, competentenough to complete the job within seven days after receipt of the work order. In case of non completion this officemay contemplate cancellation of the work order.

4. Quoted rate on the types of item purchase as noted in table above must include all types of cost viz VAT, ST andother such taxes applicable.

5. Earnest money of~ 3,00,000.00 (Rupees Three Lakhs only) has to be deposited along with the tender in favourof the District Project Officer, SSM, Purba Medinipur by any nationalized bank draft and which will be refunded tounsuccessful tenderers within one month from the date of opening of tenders and in case of successful tenderer5% of total work value amount(including the earnest money) will be deposited as security deposit by anynationalized bank draft payable at Tamluk branch which will be refunded after one year from the date of supply ofmaterial completely in all respect.

6. The quoted rates must not only mean for the supply only but it should include carrying and installation cost alsofor the items supplied at the respective schools point. The supply and Installation of material must be made to theselected School points throughout the district of Purba Medinipur. Name of the schools will be supply by this officein due course.

7. Sample of all items must be produced at the office at the time of the opening of tender.8. Copy of Vat Registration, P.Tax clearance certificate of current validity must be enclosed with the Tender paper.9. Copy of Trade License to carryon business of the same nature must be produced with the quotation paper.10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept any or reject all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof.11. The selected agency should also make a demonstration of operating/handling procedure to teachers in four Sub-

Divisions viz. Tamluk, Haldia, Contai and Egra.12. Acknowledgement certificate from each school authority along with installation report must be submitted at the

time of submission of bill.13. The undersigned also reserves the right to distribute the work among the suppliers.14. Credential Certificate of agency for being engaged in sales and service of fire extinguishers for last 2 years or

more must be produced with the tender papser.15. The envelope containing tender paper and other documents must-be super scribed on the top of the envelope as

16. The undersigned will not take any risk if the tender documents are received beyond the prescribed date and timedue to postal delay if sent by post.

17. The representative of successful Agency should maintain close contact with this office on day to day basis duringprogress of execution of the work.

18. No extra claim will be entertained at any cost and at any point of time later beyond the terms and conditions laiddown in the work order.

19. The authority reserves the right to cancel or accept any or all of the Tenders without showing any reason thereof.

Mission, Purba Medinipur and details of tender also available in the district official website i.e. www.purbamedinipur.gov.in

on any working day during office hours from 30.04.2012 to 20.05.2012

Last date and time of submission of the tender Paper is 21.05.2012 upto 2 P.M. and the same will be opened on

that date at 3-30 PM where the intending tenderers may remain present.
