“Our schools can and must make an enormous difference in our

students’ lives, but they cannot do it alone. The entire community—

schools, district, families, partners, business—is collectively

responsible for the success of our students.

Our schools must serve our community, and our community must

support our schools. School support for community and community

support for schools increases our social capital and ultimately the

success of our students.”*

QUESTIONS?

“Our job is to teach the students we have. Not the ones we would like to have. Not the ones we used to have. Those we have right now. All of them.”

Dr. Kevin Maxwell
