一『ハーパーズ・ウィークリーJIとトマス・ナスト政治調刺画リスト(2)1871-1880-

貴堂嘉之

『人文研究.!I29号では、アメリカ合衆国の国民国家論において表象・記憶・

アイデンティティの三つを柱とする新Lい研究の方向性を探り、特に南北戦

争・再建期の記憶と歴史を検証する意義を考察した。また、その時代考察に

必須の一次史料として、トマス・ナストが rハーパ←ズ・ウィークリー』誌

上で描いた政治調刺画を取り上げ、その年別リストを1859年から1870年まで

掲載した。『人文研究.lI30号では、その続きとして、 1871年から1880年まで

の全リストを掲載することにする。
