the members of the family have been down with dengue t fever but since a week ago the health of the whole neighborhood has greatly improved- Ye scribe feels lonesome to kill here- of f late The days are growing lon- ger ¬ oh so long and Sunday seems longest of all Wonder what has I brought about such a change in our dear little burg Surely something- very serious has happened- Mr J E Brooks is quite ill with the prevailing epidemic Plans are drawn for a new ferry boat for Stokes ferry and as it is badly needed it is hoped that it will soon be completed The old one is almost out of commission- Born to Mr and Mrt H A Ross Tuesday morning a boy + mother and child doing nicely Seems to be a continual change of ferryman for Stokes ferry Mr N C Dean has the place at present and it is hoped that he will retain it as he is the right man in the right place The water is still high in some places giving more or less inconve- nience ¬ to travel The waters how- ever are generally receding- The Sunday school services were omitted last Sunday on account of failure in attendance charmin- g girls are attending high school- in Ocala this year viz Misses Esther Turner Abbie Stokes and Inez Ross We hope that they may graduate with honors What about the wet and dry elec- tion ¬ I I suppose we will see what we shall see t MiM Palsy Ross has accepted a po- rtion ¬ aa teacher of the to her friend Mrs WL Martin she said she was royally entertained Several young folks of Griner Farm attended church here Sunday night Quarterly meeting will begin here next Saturday- We understand
