WELCOME !

WELCOME ! First, I am not a representative or 

affiliated nor associated with the OC Fair. I am just afan of state fairs, in particular those around southernCalifornia and enjoy blogging about my experience(s)

at the fair(s), and in particular, for this blog, the OCFair; and at the same time I am a Christian evangelistdedicated to bringing the Good News of Jesus Christeverywhere I go, hence the title of this blog. But I do

what I do in a way that is discreet & gracious, and youmight not know by seeing me in passing that I am anevangelist at work (ie no big hand-held signs or 

pamphlets in hand etc; not that I think such style iswrong but it simply doesn't work for me as a solo

evangelist). Mostly what you will find here are simplypics of what I observed at the OC Fair and my

evangelism is sometimes

8/1/13 CAMELS @ OC FAIR & CAMEL-MILKING EXHIBITION

This guy & his wife has a camel farm near san diego(oasis camel farm,

seehttp://www.cameldairy.com/ )...says that camelsare different than cows in terms of milking..they willonly give milk to their OWN babies..and only if theenvironment is right...and tthen for only about 90

seconds at a time.

.so milking them for commercial purposes is a littlemore tricky..and they are one of the few in the unitedstates to actually do so..they make some lip balm anda few other products from the camel milk, but not yet

milk for drinking (although it sounds like that'ssomething planned for the future if they can work it

out).

These were "one-hump" camels (ie dromedary)) as

opposed to two-hump (bactrian)...and you need asaddle to ride them (saddles shown at end of this

video) . One of the camels still had some of it's "winter fur" on its back which he says he left on to show howeasy it is to pull off..and pulled out a small swatch.
