Hawaii Movie Tours® - KauaiThe Hawaii Movie Tour on Kauai, “Hawaii’s Original Movie Tour,” is a unique opportunity to experience the island through Hollywood’s eyes on an expert guided tour of Kauai’s famous movie locations. The fun-filled 6-hour narrated tour is aboard an air-conditioned minibus that will stop at Kauai’s iconic movie locations while also viewing film clips of some of Hollywood’s most notable movies filmed on the island.

Journey to Waimea Canyon Ride along the mountain to overlook Waimea Canyon, the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” including a visual history of Old Koloa Town, circa 1834, heart of Hawaii’s first sugar cane plantation, and Waimea, the little town that prospered where Captain Cook first set foot in Hawaii in 1778.

Iao Valley & Maui Tropical Plantation TramVisit two of Maui’s most beautiful and popular attractions.Your excursion begins with a guided drive to Iao Valley State Park where you’ll enjoy a walk in the park and view an impressive valley. Umbrellas, beach chairs, and snorkel gear are available for rental at the beach. Visit the Shops at Wailea, a short walk away.

Maui Snorkel Cruise (KAHULUI ONLY) Take a pleasant boat ride on the ocean on this two-stop snorkel cruise. Just 3 miles off the shores of Maui is Molokini, a volcanic cinder cone that has eroded over the years and now is a Marine Life Conservation District Seabird Sanctuary. Look for brightly colored tropical fish, monk seals, whale sharks, manta rays and harmless white tip sharks. Then stop at Keawalai on the Makena/Wailea coastline where numerous green sea turtles can be spotted.

HILO & KONA, HAWAII

Historic KonaWe’ll share Kailua-Kona’s history to set the stage for your trip back in time to Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park – an ancient Hawaiian village of refuge for kapu (law) breakers. We’ll show you a beautiful scenic view over-looking Kealakekua Bay – an underwater preserve and where a monument to Captain Cook stands. Here, Captain Cook sailed in and was received as the god Lono, proved to be a mere mortal and was slain. Visit the Painted Church – the tiny church Belgian priests painted to be a grand cathedral. Experience history as rich as the brew at the Kona coffee factory we’ll visit as well.

Volcanoes National Park & Rainbow FallsAt Volcanoes National Park, take a drive through the 11 mile Crater Rim that circles Kilauea’s summit and make frequent stops to experience firsthand the wonder and unique beauty of Hawaii’s volcanoes. View smooth and jagged lava, lava tubes, sulfur banks, and bleak desert areas. Then, explore more of Hilo’s surroundings, including Akatsuka Orchid Nursery and Rainbow Falls – a tropical rainforest wonder. Plus, visit Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory and Visitor Center. Akaka Falls, Mac Nut Farm & Tropical Gardens Visit three of Hilo’s favorite attractions – Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory, Pane‘ewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens, and Akaka Falls. At the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory you’ll observe firsthand the processing of macadamia nuts and have time to visit their popular gift shop and snack bar. At Akaka Falls walk along the one mile pathway through the lush tropical forest before returning to the ship. The Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory is closed on weekends and holidays.

Tide Pool & Reef Exploration This tour is ideal for those who wish to explore life underwater at Kahalu‘u Beach Park, that was once a Royal Residence and now a marine preserve. This is known as one of Hawaii’s best snorkeling beaches where you can swim with the large schools of colorful fish and green sea honu (Turtles in Hawaiian). You can also explore the many tide pools filled with marine life in the shallow clear waters of the lava rocks surrounding the shore or relax on the salt and pepper sand beach under a shady tree to the sounds of the ocean.
