You can play an important role in making Helendale a greener, healthier community by reducing the litter and waste generated from single-use carry-out bags by using reusable bags. Here are three new R’s to help you: Remind: Place your reusable bags by the door, near your car keys, or write it down on your shopping list to remind you. Ready: Keep a ready supply of them in your car and at the office so that you can grab one when you need it. Rethink: Stop and rethink about using your reusable bags just for grocery store shopping. Consider all of the places where you go shopping or buy take-out food, and try using them there. Worried about germs? Hang the bag in the sun for an hour, sunlight is the best sanitizer there is!
