Robert August began surfing at the early age of 6 under the wing of his father and early surf pioneer, Blackie August. At the age of 18, Robert circled the globe with Bruce Brown in search of the perfect wave. The adventure resulted in the classic film "The Endless Summer" and inspired thousands of surfers to travel the world. Robert was stoked the first time he saw a Nirve cruiser.
