We have started 2014 with 531 students in K – 7 this year! Wehave had a wonderful start to the year and I would like to congratulate and thank parents for the manner in which the students have presented at school during the first week. Iwould also like to recognise all the staff for their many hours of organisation and planning in facilitating such a smooth start, thank you! Student Arrival Time A reminder that students should not be arriving at school before 8.30am, when supervision can be provided by staff. Students who arrive before this time will be required to go to the Hall until 8.30am. We appreciate your support with this matter. Class Times Classes start at 8.50am Recess is from 10.30 to 10.50am Lunch is from 12.30 to 1.20pm Dismissal is 3.10pm School Uniform It has been fantastic to see so many students in their school uniform. It is great to have the students showing pride in their school by wearing their uniform proudly. If you need further uniform items the Uniform Shop is located next to the Canteen and is open daily from 8.15 to 11am. Please also remember that Term 1 is a “No Hat, No Play” term. Students will need a school broad- brimmed or bucket hat for all outdoor activities. We understand that there has been a stock issue with the school bucket hat so any broad brim will be acceptable for the first 2 weeks. BEDWETTING (ENURESIS) PROGRAM
Do you have a child who wets the bed and would like to be dry? Bedwetting is a common childhood
problem and it can be resolved. Children will not necessarily ‘grow out of it ’ and left untreated,
bedwetting can continue into adulthood.
In the past 30 years, 1000’s of WA children have become dry through the Princess Margaret
Hospital’s (PMH) enuresis program. This program is available locally through the Great SouthernPopulation Health (Community Health) and provided by school health nurses.
The enuresis program is available for your child if:
• They are aged 6 years to 13years but not older than 13 and 9 months
• Have 2 or more night occurrences of a wet bed in a week
Child wants to become dry
Please contact Great Southern Population Health on 98427500 or alternatively contact the
Community School nurse on 98427564 for more information.
