Dear Families, Staged Return to School Over the past two weeks we have been preparing for the staged return of our students to face to face teaching and learning. We intend to keep everyone safe and have planned as much as we can for this outcome. We will establish new rounes such as regular hand hygiene pracse and re-establish student and teacher relaonships. We will also connue our commitment to progressing student learning for every students. Thank you to all the families who made the me last Wednesday for our WebEx parent session. Prep - Year 2 Return Today we have had a smooth first day back with the younger students enjoying geng to spend me with their friends again. They also had an art lesson with Jo. Remote Learning Those students sll at home have not been forgoen with MSL and 1:1 sessions available with Mr Armitage and Mrs Maddison. Students are also encouraged to finish their space poster, complete an Art lesson or 2 and do some of the Living Green work. Instrumental Music Lessons Unfortunately due to staffing restricons the Year 4s due to commence lessons will be unable to do so this year. Our senior students have enjoyed 1:1 lessons remotely this term with Braam and this has connued for them today. Thanks to the secondary college for making this possible, Resource Smart Schools Update Last weeks wring prompt was about water polluon. Has anyone noced how clear the water in the Kiewa River is since we have had all that rain? To help prompt your child to write about this you may want to take a walk down by the river and discuss this while comparing it with photos of the Yarra River in Melbourne. Living Green It has been great to receive some students’ work regarding the Living Green tasks that were made available last week. Well done to Rowan and Harry for researching and wring about how to fix a leaking tap. Well done to Emily Macklan for her extensive research on the water habitat for the sea oer. All of these works will be submied to Resource Smart Schools to go towards our water module, geng us that lile bit closer to a fourth star! Any further work will also be helpful in our school moving forward in our quest for our fourth Resource Smart Schools star. Staff and School email addresses The department is slowly migrang staff email addresses over to allow for increased capabilies including the use of Office 365. Last week all staff successfully (with a few hiccups on Monday) navigated this change.
