Victor Santa Maria, president of INEW, and Gustavo Alvarez, executive director, lead the opening day, welcoming the following Network members: Carmelo Tulumello (RIETI Training Institution, Province of Rieti, Italy), Maria Cordona Cabases and Jose Martinez Abadia (Institute la Merce of Barcelona, Spain), and François Matthey (Calixa Lavallee Centre, Montreal, Canada). The activities organized included expositions, workshops and lectures, including the participation of specialized member institutions, cultural tours and visits to education institutions. Discourses covered the education systems of Argentina, Spain, Italy and Canada, and also Professional Training Courses. Likewise, interventions were made in terms of vocational orientation, certification of knowledge and trainers training. Additionally, issues covering the areas of work of the Network were covered and common criteria were found as regards its internal structure. Identifying points in common paved the way to draft the document entitled “Consensus of Buenos Aires”, which set forth the actions and challenges to be faced and complied with by INEW members along 2015 and 2016, at the biannual international meeting in Italy. On the closing day, representatives from different trade unions related to the Trade Union Network for Professional Training Colleges (RESEFOP) participated exchanging experiences. First Meeting of the International Advisory Committee of INEW

The First Meeting of the Advisory Committee of the International Network of Education for Work (INEW) was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on March 25th, 26th and 27th, with the participation of foreign representatives.

The following is the outcome of institutional visits to important cities around the world during the last months. Several institutions became members of INEW.

The International Network of Education for Work welcomes:

The above institutions joined INEW, and so did further organizations. Nowadays, the number of member institutions amounts to 19:

Primera Reunión del Comité Asesor Internacional de la RIET

Con la participación de representantes extranjeros se llevó adelante en Buenos Aires, argentina, durante los días 25, 26 y 27 de marzo la Primera Reunión del Comité Asesor de la Red Internacional de Educación para el Trabajo (RIET).

Víctor Santa María, presidente de la RIET, y Gustavo Álvarez, director ejecutivo de la misma entidad, presidieron la jornada de apertura que comenzó con la bienvenida a los miembros de la Red: Carmelo Tulumello (Institución de Formación RIETI de la Provincia de Rieti, Italia), María Cordona Cabasés y José Martínez Abadía (Instituto la Mercè de Barcelona, España), y François Matthey (Centro Calixa Lavallée de Montréal, Canadá).

Las actividades incluyeron exposiciones, workshops y charlas en la que participaron instituciones especializadas adheridas, recorridos culturales, y visitas a establecimientos educativos.

Las disertaciones estuvieron vinculadas a los sistemas educativos de Argentina, España, Italia y Canadá, y a la Formación Profesional. Asimismo, se realizaron intervenciones sobre orientación vocacional, certi�cación de saberes y formación de instructores.

También, fueron desarrolladas temáticas acerca de las áreas de trabajo de la Red y acordados criterios comunes de su estructura interna. Esos puntos en común permitieron la transcripción del documento denominado “Consenso de Buenos Aires”, que estableció las acciones y desafíos que la RIET llevará adelante durante los años 2015 y 2016, en el encuentro bianual internacional en Italia.

En la jornada de cierre del encuentro participaron de un intercambio de experiencias representantes de diversos sindicatos pertenecientes a la Red Sindical de Escuelas de Formación Profesional (RESEFOP).
