    Earth Day

On Wednesday 13th March our class participated in World Earth Day. We were given a task that in four

hours we had to come up with a company and a recycled product. My company was called Plasticgo.co

and we focused on one of the most common causes of plastic pollution, plastic bottles. By giving people

money back for returning bottles we then re-used the bottles for a large range of things like desk tops,

    storage containers and toys.

    By Theo Hudson 8.2

In the last few weeks we have been collecting plastic to make into things. We had to make our own

company and state how it would help the environment. Each form had a mini competition to see which

company was the best. The winner of each form went into the next round to compete against the rest of

    their year.

It was fun listening to the other company ideas and choosing the overall winner. In all it was a very

exciting educational day at Cox Green School. Now we are all more aware of plastic pollution and what it

can do, and we also understand how to look after our local area better.

Supporting Your Child During Exam Time (Young Minds)

As we start to move towards exam season, Young Minds have launched advice for parents about

    supporting their children.

    Tips include:

Encourage your child to take revision breaks and find a balance between studying and doing things

    they find enjoyable and relaxing.

Make sure they are eating and drinking at regular intervals.

Reassure them – reinforce that you are and will be proud of them no matter what happens.

    Remain positive and hopeful!

Let them know their feelings are valid and normal, but also offer support and solutions where

    possible.

Anxiety is often worst at night and this means it is useful to encourage good bedtime routine You can find out more here: https://youngminds.org.uk/find-help/for-parents/parents-guide-to-support-a-z/parents-guide-to-support-exam-time/
