Death of Benazir Bhutto
Benazir Bhutto, the ex-president and prime minister candidate of Pakistan, was assassinated Thursday, 12/27/07.

The attack that occurred on 12/27 was on Bhutto, pictured above.
The suicide bombs involved in the Bhutto attack killed 20 people.
Bhutto had just left a campaign for the PPP. She stood up through her bullet-proof car’s sunroof to wave.
She was shot at, and shortly after explosives were set off, killing 20 people around her.
Many people fear for Pakistan’s future now that Bhutto is dead.

Al Queda stated that they were the ones who planned the attack.
Bhutto’s actual cause of death is uncertain, leading to different theories.

Bhutto, whose candidacy for Prime Minister promised democracy and peace in Pakistan, was killed by Al Queda. She was a target because of her controversial ideas.
The Death
-Bhutto’s death triggered mourning internationally.-Riots broke out after her death, resulting in 20 more deaths.
