ON THE EDGE OF A STORM

The Storm Edge motif drives the Santa Fe’s robust and stylish appearance which combines a bold and voluminous surface with balanced and delicate lines. Complete with LED rear combination lamps, the trademark hexagonal radiator grille and wide panoramic sunroof – Hyundai’s design philosophy of “fluidic sculpture” resonates throughout the Santa Fe’s innovative design.

RADIATOR GRILLE

A key feature of the vehicle’s imposing and characteristic ‘’face’’, exudes refinement with its hexagonal shape, wide design and compelling triple-bar-type grille.

XEnOn hEADLAmps

The xenon headlamp features sophisticated cornering lamps* and a highly detailed design that also promotes increased safety during night-time driving by enhancing lateral vision.

ELEcTRIc fOLDInG mIRRORs

The side mirrors are not only electrically adjustable but are also heated and incorporate electric side repeaters for improved visibility while enhancing the mirror design. The side mirrors can also be conveniently folded at the touch of a button or select Auto and the mirrors will fold automatically when you turn off your vehicle.

fOGLAmps

Mesh like garnish surrounds the aggressive shaping of the fog lamps. This ensures maximum visibility in the event of fog or rain and adds additional styling to the progressive nature of the front bumper design.

6-SPEED TRANSMISSIONS

The step-change performance improvements in acceleration, durability and efficiency of Santa Fe’s 6-speed automatic transmission, enables drivers to simultaneously experience the excitement and convenience of driving.

THE STORM IS BREWING

The Santa Fe comes equipped with world-class, third generation common rail technology and state of the art VGT engine. The R2.2 Common rail diesel engine has a maximum power output of 140Kw @3,800rpm and 436Nm @1,800~2,500rpm of torque.

AWD - ALL WHEEL DRIVE

All Wheel Drive is locked at the press of a button, forcing a 50/50 power split, front to rear allowing optimal driving power during off-road or challenging driving conditions. The system automatically switches to auto mode when vehicle speed exceeds 40km/h, and automatically re-locks when vehicle speed falls below 40km/h.

FRONT & REAR SUSPENSION

A newly designed McPherson strut front suspension delivers a better ride and greater stability while driving and braking. A multi-link rear suspension makes it possible to create a more spacious rear compartment than in-wheel suspension vehicles, delivering a more comfortable ride.

AIRBAG SYSTEM

All Santa Fe’s are equipped with driver and passenger airbags, two side airbags as well as curtain airbags to minimize passenger injuries in the event of collisions.

DOWNHILL BRAKE CONTROL

DBC is a system that automatically controls Santa Fe’s speed on steep declines to control braking. It’s one of Santa Fe’s features that ensures stable driving conditions.

ESC & VSM – ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL & VEHICLE STABILITY MANAGEMENT

ESC exerts braking in the inner rear wheel to help control the vehicle in advance, at a stage before conventional ESC systems would activate. This delivers more stable driving performance by helping drivers control their vehicles at will and by improving driving agility. VSM prevents asymmetrical braking by applying braking force to wheels individually. VSM promotes stable car manoeuvring and optimal safety during potential skidding situations.
