ATTENTION ALL CANCER SURVIVORS/CONQUERORS:
The H.U.G.S. (Healing Under God’s Spirit) Ministry would like to remind
you of The Myrtle Nelson Cancer Support Fund, in honor of the memory
of our own Deaconess Myrtle Nelson who transitioned to her heavenly
home and gained her “Angel Wings” on January 9, 2018. This fund is
designed to assist cancer survivors with temporary, limited financial
assistance for such needs as transportation to and from treatment or
related follow-up doctor appointments and some smaller medication co-
pays, not covered by insurance or other community programs for which
they have applied. Survivors must be members of New Prospect or the
H.U.G.S. Ministry and in active treatment at the time of application. For
more information and specifics to apply or to make a donation to the
fund, please see The Myrtle Nelson Cancer Support Fund Information
sheet on the Information Table in Light Center Atrium.
In observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday on Monday,
January 20, 2020 the Church and Administrative office will be closed.
