Walker Art Club
Art Club will meet on Mondays for 5th
Grade or on Wednesdays
for 6th in either the Science Lab or the Art Room. Please listen to
announcements at school on the day of art club for the materials
that you will need to bring to class that day. We will be
experimenting with different materials and techniques each time
we meet so that you can experience the various aspects that the art
has to offer.
Art Club is after school until 3:55 PM. Students can arrange for a
ride with parents in the front of the school or they may take the
activity bus home. Please arrange pickup with your student prior
to starting art club. Be sure they are aware of which activity bus
they will be taking or if you will be picking them up. Thank you
in advance for your help in this matter.

Walker Artists is for students who are creative, serious about art,
and would like to experience art all year. We will be creating art
to hang in the school, working on art for various shows and
competitions, and experimenting with new art techniques.
Walker Artists will take place during the students’ lunches, 5th
Grade on Tuesdays and 6th
Grade on Thursdays. Due to the
overwhelming response Walker Artists will be split into two
sessions. The first session will start on September 26th
and the
second session will start December 1st. The first session will start
by working on the 2012 Illinois Art Education Week Poster

WALKER CARES
During the month of October 2011, Walker Cares Giving
Initiative will focus on collecting items needed by the Frankfort
Township Food Pantry. We are providing a list of suggested
items. If you are willing to contribute any non-perishable food
and other supplies to meet the basic needs of those in need, your
donations are greatly appreciated. Our student council
representatives will be active each day as they collect and organize
the items that our Walker students and families contribute.
