This is a big job and there will be some disruption to the school with students and visitors needing to use the path on the eastern side of the hall. Assembly The students in 5/6C will be providing the assembly item this Friday. Parents and community are invited to join the students from 1.00 pm. Hearing Check Students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 will be able to have their hearing checked next week. For this to occur, parents should have completed a permission note. If you have not done so, please contact the school as soon as possible. Netball Last Thursday our netball team played against the Orana Heights Public School team. The game was a close one, with Orana Heights being the victors on the day with a score of eleven to nine. We are extremely proud of their sportsmanship on the day. Ignoring Others The PBL focus across the school for the remainder of this term is for children to be ignoring the silly behaviours of others, but not the instructions of teachers. School Jumpers Students have been doing a great job of wearing the correct school uniform this term. To ensure that we continue looking great in our uniforms, correct jumpers and shoes need to be worn. It is important that all students have a jumper at school as the temperatures can change quickly at this time of year. REMINDER – Please Sign In As a matter of Work Health and Safety it is important that visitors to our school sign in and out. Absence explanations Last week our school underwent an attendance audit. One of the points made was that though parents may send a note in relation to an absence, it may not be an acceptable explanation. “Family Reasons” will not be an acceptable explanation. We ask that parents provide more information. A funeral is an acceptable reason for absence. The notes that we send home for parents to complete will have “Family Reasons” removed. Parents have access to up to 15 days of leave that a principal can grant. Parents can apply for exemptions for funerals and extended family commitments. P&C Meeting The next P&C Meeting is to be held in the library this Thursday 4 April starting at 7.00 pm. All are invited to attend. Deb Nay Principal

Our Condobolin Public School PSSA Girls Netball team travelled to Dubbo on Thursday 28 March. The girls were ready to play 4 x ten minute quarters plus 3 and 5 minute intervals. All students played a great game of netball and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship during the game. The girls began playing the first quarter strong and finished the game playing very strong. Our defence players displayed excellent skills throughout the whole game putting pressure on the attacking side (Orana Heights Public School), forcing errors and turning over possession. Our attacking side demonstrated perfect situation awareness, and good tactical skills.
I am particularly proud of our school PSSA netball team and they must be congratulated on their efforts. Well done everyone! Final score Orana Heights Public School 11 - Condobolin Public School 9.
Our school would like to acknowledge and thank Margie Coe-Williams & parents/carers for providing encouragement, support and transport for the day. Yours Sincerely, Miss R Richards.
