Supply Chain Management Concentration
This concentration is comprised of at least 12 credits for part-time students who select Supply Chain Management as their primary concentration
In addition, the students must meet the below requirements as part of the concentration.
Part-Time Students (primary concentration)
Required Courses: 2 courses (SCM Strategies, Global Procurement) Electives: Choose 6 credits from Logistics and Customer Service, Services and Health Care Operations, and Cross-Functional Enablers. SCM areas: Earn at least one credit in each area (with double counting permitted)
The Supply Chain Management concentration at Rutgers Business School provides a holistic curriculum for future leaders in Supply Chain Management. The curriculum is divided into six different areas, building on the MBA Core, Foundational and Integrative Courses. The concentration is built on four areas that provide the students with the broad functional expertise necessary to manage the world’s complex supply chains.
Global Sourcing and Supply Management, Production and Operations Management, and Logistics and Customer Service cover the traditional functional areas of Supply Chain Management. Services and Health Care Operations is the fourth area dealing with the growing importance of services within the broader Supply Chain Management field.
In addition, Supply Chain Strategy and Planning, which integrates all activities in the previously mentioned areas into a strategic position aligned with the overall firm strategy. Finally, Cross-Functional Enablers, which covers professional skills, project management, information technologies and international and legal issues round out the holistic curriculum for Supply Chain Management.
