It is a four-year program, where students graduate with two degrees — an associate degree and bachelor of science degree in nursing. GTCC is the home school for the first three years of the program. Students will be enrolled in both GTCC and NC A&T for the first three years of the program, taking the majority of the coursework at GTCC. Classes with NC A&T are online for the first three years. Students can work as a nurse after year three of study after successfully passing the NCLEX-RN (national licensure examination). Year four of the program is completed entirely online through NC A&T.
