Sister Angela Jolivette, Chief Coordinator of Bible Activities

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

A New Year—A New Beginning. The 2017 National Baptist Convention of America

International, Incorporated Youth and Children’s Convention is approaching, and it is with great

honor and pleasure that we welcome you to another year where you are invited to enjoy

observing the youth learn more about the Lord through showcasing their God-given gifts and

talents. We commend those who have worked extremely hard in preparing our youth for the

Youth and Children’s Convention. Your commitment and dedication is appreciated as we all

continue to serve under the leadership and vision of our Director, Rev. Dr. Terrance D. Grant-

Malone.

The Bible Activities provide an opportunity for our youth to experience learning God’s word in a

fun and uplifting way. Therefore, we encourage the youth leaders of our churches to inform our

youth of the fact that they are all winners for Christ, keeping this in mind, whether they place

first, second, or third, they are still number one for Christ.

The overall goal and purpose for Bible Activities is to make learning from the Bible fun and

engaging, so that our youth will have memorable experiences to retain for life and be able to use

what they have learned in their adult years. Remembering that the word of God does not go out

and come back void. Consequently, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is

old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Therefore, we stress that pleasing God is more important than receiving praises from man. We

look forward to seeing everyone in Kansas City, Missouri.

Your Humble Servant in Christ,

Angela Jolivette Chief Coordinator of Bible Activities
