•Contact sculpture is a kind of street art, which is very popular in Europe.

•Sumy is the European city. Recently contact sculptures began to appear in our city.

• In the middle of the park in Soborna Street there is a monument to a monument to students of Sumystudents of Sumy. • In May 9 th Lane you can see a contact sculpture of Sumy HussarSumy Hussar (2011) in remembrance of brave cavalrymen, who served in Sumy and later became famous on the battlefields during the wars of anti-French coalition. Sumy Hussars regiment left its hometown in 1804.

• Recently the Kharkivska Street has been decorated with the contact sculpture of

• the Pursethe Purse (2011), the largest one among the monuments of this type in Europe in front of the bank. There is a tradition: if you want to improve your financial affairs, come to the purse and rub the coin.

• A contact sculpture “Merry “Merry townsman”townsman” (2012) was installed in the park in front of the Art Museum, the prototype of which was the showman Volodymyr Kryvopyshyn.

• Next to the agency in Soborna Street a contact sculpture “Lady with umbrella”“Lady with umbrella” was installed in 2012, which depicts a young pregnant woman in a dress of the last century. This monument is a tribute to the key Sumy industry. The largest refinery in Europe in the post reform period, founded in 1869, worked in the town. Sumy was truly called “the capital of sugar kingdom”. The steps that you can climb to the top of the monument symbolize the desire for success, in harmony with the motto on the coat of arms of Kharytonenkos: “Glorified by work”
