FIELD <WORK

Supervised field work is an integral part of the Training programme of MSW Course. Field work enables the students to integrate and reinforce the knowledge acquired in the class room · with actual practice under the supervision of the faculty staff or of an ag~ncy. A minimum of 25 hours of field work per week through out the course is required of all students. The content of field work is planned to provide an orderly sequence of learning.

a) Field Work · is organised as concllrrentand block field work. In addition, every student is . required to complete a full-time block field work placement of four weeks after the fourth semester examinations.

a) Attendants : Students are expected to put in 100 percent attendants in field work. Those who absent from field work without prior permission · wiit be ·. required to • reJ!leat the entire field · work ·of ' that semester.

c) Project Report : Researh Project Report has been made compulsory under fourth semester of the MSW Course. A major objective in provi di ng a research project is edu­cational. It provides the students an opportunity to collect data from the field und er guici r1nce and familiarise themselves with methods of research . Data collection for project report will be during the fourtt1 sGmes ter.

Each of these theory papers will carry 75 marks and each Viva-voce will carry 25 marks. E'ach of these theGry papers and project report will have double valuation .

b) Grading

The percentage system may be . followed .

c) If a candidate fails in ·any one paper in any of the four semesters hejshe shall not be awarded with a rank poSition after four semesters, whatever be the total -score. of the · candidate.
