4 SIMPLE TIPS TO GET STARTED TODAY:

1. AVOID DISTRACTIONS

2. CREATE CONSISTENCY

3. BE A PASSENGER

4. LEARN TO SAY NO

Page 13: Motivation

WHY IT

WORKSWhen you wake up early or go to bed late, the probability of someone else being awake and able to interrupt you decreases.

No distractions. You’re hustling away while the rest of the world is busy either sleeping or trying to pull themselves out of bed.

HOW IT

WORKSSocrates once said, the secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old but on building the new. The key here is focus & energy.

Whether you sleep in or go to bed early, make sure you’re well rested. Eat healthy meals, drink lots of water and try to get a light exercise in when you can.

TIP“The biggest drain on your time isn’t the

time in which you’re busy getting things

done, the biggest drain on your time is

being interrupted”Let’s hang

CREATE CONSISTENCY IN YOUR WEEKLY CALENDER2.

WHY IT

WORKSBlocking off time in your day to focus on your side hustle will keep distractions from breaking up your day and disconnecting your ability to get into a sense of flow.

HOW IT

WORKSCreate a “Hustle-Night” where you’re completely focused and wired into your work. You never book meetings outside of those associated with your side hustle on that night.

TIP“We can’t manage time because time is a constant. Instead, we must learn to manage ourselves and prioritize our efforts on a daily basis.”

BE A PASSENGER3.

WHY IT

WORKSI hate driving. People usually think that’s odd so let me explain. It’s not that I hate the act of driving from point A to point B, what I hate is the amount of time required to get there.

Taking advantage of time spent traveling allows you to be efficient with your time and will make the world of difference in your already busy schedule.

BE A PASSENGER BE A PASSENGER3.

HOW IT

WORKSTake a tablet or laptop when traveling by air. Work on the tasks that don’t require wifi and send everything off once you reach your destination.

Utilize taxis or busses. Reply to e-mails or manage your calendar in the time you would have spent driving.

TAKE AWAY

TIP“Anything over an hour is an hour you

could have been generating value,

instead of simply moving your body from

here to there.”

BE A PASSENGER

WHY IT

WORKSDon’t spend time doing things that aren’t going to benefit you down the road or help you get closer to your goals. Focus needs to be embraced when you’re taking on new work and a new lifestyle.

4. THE POWER OF

SAYING NO“ ”

Page 23: Motivation

HOW IT

WORKSIf you’re too busy to catch up with someone or commit to something, simply tell them you’ve got a lot going on right now. Honesty is always the best policy. Prioritization is the key to success and happiness; choose wisely.

4. THE POWER OF

SAYING NO“ ”

Page 24: Motivation

TAKE AWAY

TIP“Say no to requests to do things that you don’t really want to, don’t value or don’t bring you satisfaction and joy.”

WE’RE ALL PRIVILEGED WITH 24 HOURS IN A DAY AND 365 DAYS IN A YEAR.

Page 26: Motivation

It’s up to us to determine how we spend our time

and what your goals and legacy will look like.

If you’re capable to ready this entire deck, you’re

capable to create something great. You’re capable

to build something bigger than yourself and capable

of making time for a side hustle.
